the 2016 DNC convention: chaos already

So it's Clinton/Kaine for the 2016 ticket. Onto the DNC which I'm guessing will be easily a more positive unifying convention than the GOP's.

Convention chaos already: DNC chair out, protesters storm Philly
  • Chaos reigned Sunday ahead of the Democratic National Convention, as the party’s head was forced to quit, thousands of protesters took to the streets and delegates threatened a walk-out over Hillary Clinton’s vice-presidential pick.

On the eve of the four-day convention to nominate the county’s first female presidential candidate, Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigned in disgrace over the hack of emails that showed DNC staffers favoring Clinton over her then rival, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Meanwhile, throngs of Sanders supporters marched and pounded on drums, chanting “Hell no, DNC — we won’t vote for Hillary” in the sweltering heat during the first in an expected series of protests in Philadelphia.

A leading Sanders supporter, Norman Solomon, also said a “vast majority” of the socialist’s delegates were considering turning their backs — or even walking out of the Wells Fargo Center — during Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine’s acceptance speech to run as Clinton’s second-in-command.

The ouster of Wasserman Schultz, a Florida congresswoman, came just hours after Democrats revealed that she had been replaced as their convention’s chairwoman by little-known Rep. Marcia Fudge (D-Ohio)....

Meanwhile, Democratic sources told CNN that the hacked emails had inflamed Sanders supporters and could destroy the party-unity deal between Sanders and Clinton, with one Democrat saying: “It’s gas meets flame.”

And desperate Clinton aides floated a conspiracy theory that Russian hackers had engineered the email scandal in a bid to help elect Trump....

Wasserman Schultz will be replaced as interim party chair by Donna Brazile, an ardent Hillary Clinton supporter...

A longtime Democrat strategist, Brazile ran Vice President Al Gore’s disastrous 2000 presidential campaign — which saw him start wearing “reassuring,” earth-toned clothing in a failed bid to win over voters before losing to George W. Bush in an election decided by the US Supreme Court.

Previously, she had to resign from Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis 1988 presidential campaign for publicly alleging that then-Vice President George H.W. Bush had repeatedly cheated on his wife.

Bernie Sanders Supporters in Philadelphia Chant: ‘Lock Her Up!: at the pro-Sanders rally, attendees were more than eager to list the reasons that Mrs. Clinton deserved to be incarcerated.

Re: the 2016 DNC convention: chaos already

I love how the DNC can decisively say that the Russians hacked the DNC's e-mails ("to help the Trump campaign" no less!!), yet they can't determine whether Hillary Clinton's private server that compromised top secret classified information was hacked by the Russians.

I just watched a DNC spokesperson at a press conference asked every whichway how they know this. And all he could say is "experts" disclosed this.
The "experts" are lying DNC strategists, making up any talking point they think can save this fiasco.

The fix was in with Comey and Loretta Lynch in their private deals with the Clintons.
The fix is twice as in with the very heart of the DNC leveraging out Sanders and laying out the red carpet for Hillary getting the nomination.

Trump for the first time is ahead in the polls. I can't wait to see the polls a week from now.

No candidate has ever deserved to lose like Frau Hitlery deserves to lose.

Al Gore will skip the DNC: Gore is one of eight Tennessee superdelegates, but he has not pledged his support to presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz jeered at DNC breakfast: a number are seen holding signs that say “E-Mails” and “Division!”

Protesters march on Democratic National Convention:
  • By late afternoon, hundreds of demonstrators were face to face with police on bikes. Five were taken into custody and placed in plastic handcuffs after they jumped a barrier that was erected just moments earlier. In total, dozens reportedly were taken into custody. But city police later said there had been no arrests; rather, 55 had been cited for disorderly conduct.

Inside the convention hall, boos also broke out among Sanders supporters as they jeered at the very mention of Hillary Clinton’s name.

Hillary Clinton is the prime example of "the rich and guilty" being favored over the poor and innocent.
It was precisely that favoritism of the rich and guilty that has propelled Hillary Clinton to become the Democrat candidate!

FBI director James Comey has confirmed this. And so will many pundits of the mainstream media, if they have the tiniest shred of honesty.

Democrats Struggle for Unity on First Day of Convention (As delicately euphemized by the New York Times)

 Quote:
PHILADELPHIA — Democratic Party leaders scrambled on Monday night to rescue their convention from political bedlam as supporters of Senator Bernie Sanders erupted in boos, jeers and protests against Hillary Clinton after an email leak showed that party officials had sought to undermine Mr. Sanders in their race for the nomination.

Mr. Sanders, whose speech was shifted to a more prominent time in hopes of soothing delegates, struggled to unify the convention. His full-throated endorsement of Mrs. Clinton drew scattered boos, and his valedictory tone left some supporters in tears rather than rallying around the Democratic nominee. Another speaker, Michelle Obama, was far more electrifying, but while she drew affection from the crowd, her remarks did little to heal the lingering primary wounds.

The venting among Sanders supporters reflected months of pent-up frustration after he lost the nomination to Mrs. Clinton, whom they see as too accommodating to big business and Republicans. Mr. Sanders tried to intervene by sending a text message asking delegates “to not engage in any kind of protest on the floor,” while Clinton and Sanders campaign officials worked on the convention floor to mollify delegates who might be disruptive.

The tension reverberated from the floor of the hall to the stage. By 9:30 p.m., the outbursts were so loud and persistent that the comedian Sarah Silverman scolded the Sanders supporters who were shouting over her remarks.

“Can I just say to the Bernie-or-bust people,” she said, adopting their own nickname, “you are being ridiculous.”

As delegates streamed out, a handful of Mr. Sanders’s most dedicated supporters held up his signs and chanted, “Hey, hey, D.N.C., we won’t vote for Hillary.”

Clinton campaign officials, in another bid to placate the party’s left wing, picked Senator Elizabeth Warren to deliver the keynote address on Monday night, hoping that her searing denunciations of Donald J. Trump, the Republican nominee, would unify the delegates in the hall. Mrs. Clinton had privately chosen Ms. Warren days ago, campaign officials said, but announced her on Monday morning to try to set a positive tone for the first day of the convention and start closing ranks against Mr. Trump.

Mr. Sanders, who took the stage here at about 10:50 p.m. to a thundering three-minute ovation and chants of “Bernie, Bernie,” acknowledged the disappointment of his supporters and said, “It is no secret that Hillary Clinton and I disagree on a number of issues.”

But he said the choice between his onetime rival and Mr. Trump was “not even close.” “Hillary Clinton will make an outstanding president, and I am proud to stand with her here tonight,” Mr. Sanders said as his supporters waved his blue campaign signs.

Ms. Warren opened her remarks with a warm nod to Mr. Sanders, saying his campaign had advanced liberal causes and helped show that the political and economic systems were “rigged” in favor of the powerful.

Bernie reminds us what Democrats fight for every day,” Ms. Warren said. ‘Thank you, Bernie.”

Yet even after Ms. Warren was well into her remarks, a handful of determined supporters of Mr. Sanders tried to interrupt her. “We trusted you!” they yelled, suggesting that she had betrayed them by supporting Mrs. Clinton.

These catcalls, as well as the images of delegates in Sanders T-shirts waving placards that read “Hill No,” were not the sort of messages that the Clinton campaign wanted. Mrs. Clinton, who had a hand in choosing the speakers, had hoped that the convention would be the picture of unity, in contrast to the Republican convention last week. Instead, she was reminded that many Americans, including some die-hard Democrats, do not like her or believe that she will bring significant change to the government.

The only speaker who brought the entire hall together in spellbinding fashion was Michelle Obama, who seemed to pour out feelings she had been keeping under wraps. She delivered an unusually pointed speech targeting Mr. Trump without mentioning him by name.

“The issues the president faces are not black and white, and cannot be boiled down to 140 characters,” she said, taking a crowd-pleasing shot at Mr. Trump’s penchant for Twitter messages.

She alluded to those who have questioned Mr. Obama’s “citizenship or faith” and scorned Mr. Trump’s slogan. “Don’t let anyone tell you that this country isn’t great,” she said. But she also turned emotional, her voice cracking, when she spoke of what Mrs. Clinton’s election would mean.

“My daughters, and all our sons and daughters, now take for granted that a woman can be president of the United States,” she said.

Throughout the day, more than 1,000 supporters of Mr. Sanders took to the scalding streets of Philadelphia to vent their frustration. Some targeted Mrs. Clinton with a taunting chant from last week’s Republican convention: “Lock her up!” Other protesters gathered outside the downtown Ritz-Carlton, where many major donors to Mrs. Clinton’s campaign were staying, and attacked her use of a “super PAC” and her reliance on big fund-raising events.

Even Mr. Sanders, who has vowed to do whatever it takes to stop Mr. Trump from winning, had little luck making the case to his followers that they should vote for Mrs. Clinton. In a rare display of rebellion at a lunchtime gathering of his delegates, he was drowned out by boos when he mentioned Mrs. Clinton, and seemed jarred by the response.

And that's reporting of the pro-Hillary New York Times!
EVEN THEY affirm that only Michelle Obama's speech was not interrupted by boos at the mere mention of Hillary Clinton.

It's presumptuous to definitively say it was Russian hacking that initiated the leaks.

The Democrat spin-meisters/slanderers like to front a lot of assumptions as fact to smear Trump.

Several dots fronted, that no one has factually established a connection between yet:

1. That the Russians did the hacking (THAT one may be true)
2. The reason the Russians leaked the documents was to help the Trump campaign. (Wild Democrat-partisan speculation, absolutely no proof.)
3. The Russians wanted to help Trump because he is weaker than Hillary regarding NATO, and she alleges Trump wants to end NATO (which is a flatout lie, Trump wants to pressure members to pay their agreed to share of NATO military costs, and not leave the U.S. with 72% of the tab, as they have for decades. So Trump is not weaker on NATO.)

And most offensive and slanderous of all, speculated one DNC talking head:
4. That the Trump campaign was somehow in collusion with the Russians.

NONE of these have a shred of evidence to support them, only similarity to Russian techniques on (1) can be plausibly speculated based on anything.

The bottom line here is that the DNC got caught acting unethically (and possibly illegally) and now they're trying to play the distraction game

Angry Sanders supporters shut down streets outside DNC:
  • Bernie Sanders loyalists protested inside and outside the Democratic National Convention site and clashed with police on Tuesday after Hillary Clinton won the party’s presidential nomination.

Despite Sanders’ calls for them to support Clinton, thousands of activists have taken to the streets during the convention this week to voice support for the liberal Vermont U.S. senator and his progressive agenda.

Moments after Clinton became the first woman to be nominated for president by a major U.S. political party, a large group of Sanders delegates and supporters exited the Philadelphia convention site to hold a sit-in inside a media tent. Some had their mouths taped shut. A few spontaneously sang the chorus of the folk song “This Land is Your Land,” and a banner read “we the people.” They said they were holding a peaceful protest to complain about being shut out by the Democratic Party.

“This was not a convention. This was a four-day Hillary party. And we weren’t welcome,” said Liz Maratea, a New Jersey delegate at the media tent protest. “We were treated like lepers.”

In the streets outside, Sanders supporters who had spent the day protesting began facing off with police. Protesters began scaling 8-foot walls blocking off the secure zone around the arena parking lot, and several were detained. An officer sprayed one of the protesters.

Unmoved by Sanders’ plea for party unity, the Bernie or Bust protesters walked miles in the stifling heat again Tuesday to make their case for him.

Chicago Tribune, 9:23 pm:
  • The protests continued into the night with Sanders supporters and anti-police brutality protesters joining together. They marched in the street outside of the Wells Fargo Center.

The crowd consisted of an assortment of protesters espousing a variety of causes, but mostly Sanders supporters and other Clinton foes on the left. College student Cory James said he expects the Democratic Party to split over the nomination.

"I suspect we are witnessing an event that will fundamentally change American politics," said James, of Flint, Michigan.

Earlier in the day, participants at the rally charged that Sanders was cheated out of the nomination, and they said they weren't swayed by his Monday plea to his supporters to fall in line behind Clinton for the good of the country.

"He persuaded no one to vote for Hillary," said Greg Gregg, a retired nurse from Salem, Oregon, who intends to cast his ballot in November for Green Party candidate Jill Stein.

Black Men for Bernie founder Bruce Carter said Monday's speeches from Sanders and Massachusetts U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren didn't persuade him to support Clinton.

"They really agitate people more every time they stand up and do the Hillary Clinton hoo-rah hoo-rah," he said.

Carter, a Dallas resident, said he doesn't fear a Republican Donald Trump presidency.

Chris Scully, an engineer from Troy, New York, held a "Jill Before Hill" sign outside City Hall and said he opposes Clinton because of her war record as U.S. secretary of state.

That just like our international trade deals, political leaders in the United States have been fleeced by nations not paying their fair share of their agreed portion of NATO defense costs.

I love the way you constantly front distortions that are outright lies as if they were "facts".

Yeah, so NOW the Democrats think Russia is a threat. ;\)

But, seriously, I'm sure this "conspiracy theory" will get a lot of traction with the far left, but ultimately it'll be just a credible as "Reagan and the Ayatollah caused the hostage crisis" and "Bush caused 9/11."

The bottom line here is that the DNC got caught acting unethically (and possibly illegally) and now they're trying to play the distraction game

In addition, Obama is manifestly treasonous. As is Hillary Clinton regarding the Benghazi attack, regarding the preceding negligence in Benghazi despite dozens of repeated pleas for added security by Ambassador Stevens in Benghazi over a 4 month period, and regarding Obama/Hillary leaving U.S. armed forces to die in Beghazi.

And both Obama and Hillary are also manifestly treasonous regarding their communication on Hillary's illegal private e-mail server, that according to FBI director James Comey. was almost certainly hacked by both the Russians and Chinese.

And before those crises, this conversation with Medvedev:

That's because the Sanders supporters that would vocally oppose have all been tossed outside. As G-man has already detailed above, they are vocal and in great numbers just outside the DNC convention auditorium, at least as vocal today as yesterday.

Re: the 2016 DNC convention: chaos already

Regarding Bill Clinton's speech tonight...

... Pulitzer-winning Judith Miller, along with Brad Blakeman, commented that despite over 30 years in politics, it was amazing how many who have known the Clintons that long have never heard these stories!
Brit Hume immediately after Clinton finished wondered how much of it would later be revealed to be "pure compost".

And hours before Bill Clinton appeared onstage, Trump this morning made a speech before the VFW, where far from Bill Clinton's image of Hillary as a "natural builder" (or "change maker", with pre-packaged signs for the delegates in the audience to hold up, oh so spontaneously!), Hillary has in fact been a destroyer of U.S. national security and of the lives of people in our military, in Benghazi, and the lives threatened by top secret information in her compromised e-mail sever.

With facts rather than warm anecdotes, Trump exposes Hillary as a destroyer of the country she would lead. Likewise her rhetoric about police that has stoked Black Lives Matter types to kill cops in cities nationwide.
Likewise Hillary is a destroyer of the lives of innocent women who reluctantly came forward to tell the truth about their sexual liasons with Bill Clinton( Gennifer Flowers, Monica Lewinsky), and in cases their sexual harassment (Paula Jones), and even rape (Juanita Broaddrick). Women Hillary Clinton knew to be telling the truth, but ruthlessly destroyed anyway, to advance her own political ambitions.

Trump also went into his opinions about NATO and other economic and foreign policy issues in an interview with Bill O'Reilly earlier tonight, before Clinton's speech.

Which also disproves a lot of the DNC's (and M E M's) false talking points.

Re: the 2016 DNC convention: chaos already

Another element that pisses me off (and most of America) is their bringing black moms of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Eric Garner (the moms of three thugs who died, two because they initiated violence, or in Garner's case didn't cooperate when questioned and had health problems when restrained. And then were stoked up by race-baiter Democrat politicians and the radical left to advance a false narrative, as manufactured national martyrs of alleged police racism).

In two cases, these are the moms of black thugs who tried to kill people. In Michael Brown's case, tried to kill a police officer.

They are represented by their mothers here (falsely) as innocent victims of police violence.
But the surviving wives and family of murdered cops, (many killed just in the last month!) were not given a voice by the DNC convention, and are nowhere in sight.

Pretty clear message: BLUE lives don't matter to the Democrats, they are just cannon fodder for the DNC to stoke up the black/minority vote with distorted narratives and rhetoric.

And I would further argue that the rhetoric of Hillary Clinton and other opportunistic lying Democrat leaders is precisely what stoked these radicals to kill officers in cities nationwide, in just the last few weeks.

Again: as I posted at the time of the Michael Brown shooting, O'Reilly did a report on the latest statistics at that time: In the latest statistical year, there were 8 million arrests nationwide. Of those, there were 600 deaths in police custody. And of those, only 150 were of black suspects. Those are the hard numbers of the alleged "war on blacks". And most of those shootings are unquestionably justified.

So... out of a U.S. population of approximately 320,000,000, 13% of America is black, about 42 million. And out of that 42 million, about 150 a year die in police custody. That's not a high ratio. Roughly one every 2 or 3 days. And the other 450 (more than 1 a day, still not a lot) are mostly white or Hispanic.

Also, nothing at this convention about the 92% ratio of black-on-black shootings, about 6,000 a year. 40 times as many! Apparently "Black Lives Matter" to black radicals and Democrat politicians ONLY when they are killed by whites or police, when they can demagogue and exploit it politically.

DNC Convention 2016: Soviet Flags, Palestinian Flag – BUT NO US FLAGS

America is an evil unjust place they hate. But the Soviet flag (flag of a nation that killed at least 30 million of its own people!) THAT's a flag they're proud to carry.

Never mind that the Soviet Union hasn't even existed since 1991.

Plus the DNC that fronts itself as the superior party regarding rights for women, rights for gays, proudly displays the Palestinian flag of a country known for misogyny and suppression of women, and throwing gays, when discovered, off the roof of apartment buildings.

Tensions flare between NY delegates for Sanders, Clinton:

  • PHILADELPHIA -- An appeal for party unity by Hillary Clinton delegates at the Democratic National Convention was a little too strong for some Bernie Sanders delegates from New York.

Delegates from both sides exchanged harsh words and raised their voices Monday night when Clinton delegates and Democratic Party officials asked everyone in the delegation to hold signs expressing their unity.

When some Sanders delegates balked, tempers flared, said Brian Escobar, a Syracuse-area delegate for Sanders.

"Some of the delegates sitting in the front row were insisting that Sanders delegates take signs they were handing out," Escobar said in an interview Tuesday. "It was tense."

Escobar, 31, of Clay, is among Sanders delegates who say they are not ready to support Clinton as the Democratic nominee to take on Republican Donald Trump in November.

If Sanders is not the party's nominee, Escobar said he will likely vote for him as a write-in candidate, or vote for Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein.

Y'know... EVERY FOUR YEARS you allege the Republican running is a draft dodger. You know who ACTUALLY IS a draft dodger? The former Democrat president who is married to the candidate he was speaking in advocacy of. William Jefferson something-or-other.

And regarding the flags, there are many, many photos I've seen of those Soviet and Palestinian flags just outside the DNC convention, and inside the DNC convention auditorium as well. It's very possible (as occurred with the DNC's complete whitewash of ISIS and terrorism mentions the first day) that the Democrats were shamed into displaying flags after the fact so that they appear now.
Likewise, as I mentioned above, how the Democrats bring the mothers of fronted victims of racist police violence, while giving no voice or mention of the wives and families of police killed in multiple cities over the last few weeks. AGAIN: Cops who were arguably killed because of black rage stoked by false and inflammatory Democrat rhetoric.

And you know who created the accusation that Barack Obama isn't a U.S. citizen? The Hillary Clinton campaign in 2008. (They also alleged that McCain isn't a U.S. citizen as well. McCain was born in Panama, son of two U.S.-born parents, one a Navy Admiral, at a U.S. Naval Base.)
So spare me the sanctimony on either of these points. The Hillary Rodent Clinton campaign has demonstrated there is no low they will avoid going to.

(And regarding the "birther" charge questioning Barack Obama's citizenship, you've never heard me on board for that. Bill O'Reilly and Ann Coulter, to name two, have cited that the two major newspapers in Hawaii announced Obama's birth there, at the time he was born. And there is no logical reason his parents (both students then at University of Hawaii, with little money to travel and no reason to have traveled to another country at that time) would have given birth to Obama anywhere but Hawaii.

Both Obama and Hillary are Alinsky-trained cultural Marxists, both active as and associated with many other anti-American Marxist radicals whose patriotism I question based on facts of their lives. But they were, unfortunately, born here.

To be fair, not even MEM tried that trick with McCain.

I do seem to recall him arguing that McCain, at 70, was too old and out of touch to serve as president, however.

I also seem to recall him using, as an example of being too old and out of touch, McCain's inability to properly use a computer for emails.

Trump KILLED both Hillary and the pro-Hillary media in his press conference yesterday. In comments to Katie Couric and others, he raked them over the coals again and again for their bias in coverage, in their reluctance to say anything negative about Hillary's mistakes, and their eagerness to leap on anything negative they can about Trump, their indifference and silence to anything Trump does right.
He concluded taunting Hillary to do a similar press conference, pointing out that despite she makes scripted appearances every day, it's been two hundred-plus days (seven months!) since Hillary has made herself available in an open format for questions from the press.

Which, of course, Hillary will never do. Her illegal server and e-mails, the Benghazi cover-up, irregularities surrounding the Clintons and James Comey and Loretta Lynch, ongoing investigation of the Clinton Foundation that allows foreign governments to buy her presidency, on and on. These are questions that can only be avoided in a very controlled environment for candidate Hillary.

Notice how in all the days of the DNC convention, no mention of ISIS, no mention of her scandals, no mention of Hillary's "war on women" her personal orchestrating the destruction of women who came forward to discuss their inappropriate relationships with Bill Clinton.
In a very carefully constructed narrative, her lifetime of corruption and scandal can only be glossed over by complete omission. With the full participation of the pro-Hillary media.

Despite unity push, Sanders supporters now urge Dem 'exit'
  • Despite the Democratic Party’s robust efforts this week to put forward a show of unity at their Philadelphia convention – including bringing Hillary Clinton onstage Wednesday night for a handoff hug from President Obama – a rowdy swath of disaffected voters is making clear the theatrics haven’t healed the fractured base.

Anti-Clinton and other demonstrators are moving forward Thursday with at least one protest, and holding events encouraging voters to “de-register” from the party.

They’re operating in part under the Twitter hashtag #DemExit, one that Green Party candidate Jill Stein has deftly been using as she openly appeals to Sanders supporters to join her team outside the Philly convention arena.

“DNC wants your support for lying, undermining, and insulting you. They'll lock you out if you don't comply. #DemExit,” Stein tweeted.

Snopes Caught Lying About Lack Of American Flags At Democratic Convention:
  • Myth-busting website Snopes flagrantly lied about the lack of visible American flags on the first day of the Democratic Convention, claiming an image from the second day of the convention was actually from the first day in an attempt to debunk a factual story from The Daily Caller.

First, the facts. TheDC reported on Monday about the lack of visible American flags at day one of the convention. Several flags were briefly on stage for the national anthem and pledge of allegiance, at which point they were carried off stage, as the C-SPAN video for Monday clearly shows at the 35:40 mark. Even PolitiFact, which tends to lean to the left, noted that “when the color guard left, so did the physical flag.” After that point, the stage was devoid of any American flags for the remainder of day one.

As reported by TheDC, the DNC added flags to the stage for the second day of the convention — Tuesday, July 26. That same day, Snopes writer Dan Evon wrote a “fact-check” article declaring it “false” that: “No American flags were on display at the 2016 Democratic National Convention.”

Evon offered as proof A) a screenshot from PBS’ coverage of day one, taken during the pledge of allegiance — before the flags were removed — and B) the below screenshot of C-SPAN’s day two coverage (visible at the 6:36 mark here) and claimed it was from day one of the convention. In fact, Mallory Weggemann — the paralympic swimmer who gave Tuesday’s pledge of allegiance — can be seen sitting in her wheelchair as the flag-bearers walk past her.

Snopes presented the above image as a screenshot from day one of the convention, captioning it: “Contrary to claims that flags were added to the DNC’s staging only after the Democrats were criticized for not displaying any flags at the event, photographs captured U.S. flags being set up on the stage prior to the start of the convention and in place on the stage during Day 1 of the event.” In other words, Snopes — which presents itself as a credible media source for debunking lies on the internet — flat out lied.

What’s worse, Snopes appears to have ripped that image from left-wing non-proft Media Matters’ coverage of the story. But even Media Matters — known for its misleading claims and hatchet jobs — didn’t claim that the screenshot came from Monday’s coverage. Apparently, it was too much for Evon to actually watch the convention on which he was presenting himself as the authoritative source.

Snopes also used the below Media Matters clip from Fox News as “proof” that flags were present on day one of the convention. But that video, like Snopes’ borrowed screenshot, came from day two of the convention. That clip, like the above image, confirmed TheDC’s report that the flags which were missing on day one were added to the stage for day two.

By press time, Snopes had not returned TheDC’s inquiries about their clear falsehoods.

Actually comparing the two conventions, Clinton's was more positive not just about her but about the country and why we love it. Trump's was an angrier and negative view of the country. I think he had to rely on speakers that were endorsing him just because he was the republican candidate and it looked weak. He says it wasn't a dark vision that he presented but it clearly was. Guess we'll see how the country feels now that both conventions are done.

Re: the 2016 DNC convention

It was a chore listening to Hillary's nomination acceptance speech.

She has an annoying shrill voice that could scrape the paint off a garage door.

And the Hillary convention Gestapo also had crowds of people who were instructed to overwhelm Bernie Sanders protest chants by shouting louder over them "HILLARY, HILLARY, HILLARY!" to drown them out.

There is so much about this DNC convention that is just plain creepy... ramming through a candidate under multiple FBI investigations... even though Hillary completely outgunned Bernie Sanders from the outset, they still felt a need to violate rules to and exhibit manifest unfair bias brush him aside... Bernie Sanders intimidated into unwillingly endorsing a Hillary Clinton he clearly ideologically and personally despises... taking away signs from Bernie Sanders supporters who continue to voice dissent (they even booed BERNIE SANDERS when he instructed them to support Hillary Clinton!)... DNC chairperson Debbie Wasserman-Schultz was clearly guilty of bias toward Bernie Sanderss and rigging Frau Hitlery's nomination (and when forced to resign WAS IMMEDIATELY RE-HIRED THE SAME DAY TO A HIGH POSITION IN THE HILLARY CLINTON CAMPAIGN!)... shouting "black lives matter" during a moment of silence for murdered cops... the absence of flags the first day (and that even a factcheck site tried to edit reality in an Orwellian re-write the facts!)... burning of the American flag by Democrats (Bernie supporters), and open display of the Soviet and Palestinian flags.

And more than anything, ALL the disturbing lack of ethics and blatant unapologetic criminal activity by candidate Hillary Clinton herself. And yet 40% or so of Democrats still blindly support her, no matter what indefensible breach of law and ethics. She has shit on U.S. national security, allowed foreign governments and corporations to purchase her silence and loyalty with huge donations and speaking fees to the Clinton Foundation, shit on the DNC rules process to ram through her nomination, strong-armed and intimidated Bernie Sanders into reluctantly supporting her, and when his supporters wouldn't go along with it, strong-armed them into silence, taken away their Bernie signs, and forced them to leave the auditorium. The kind of tactics you'd see in Russia, China, or some other brutal dictatorship. How could ANYONE still support this evil cunt bitch?!?

You can bet if she were elected, she would continue Obama's practice of using the IRS to audit her political enemies, and to suppress political opposition to her re-election. Among many other unconscionable ruthless criminal acts.

Oh heck yeah, what a beautiful display of unity this convention was, right M E M?

Bernie Sanders Delegates Protest for Jill Stein at the DNC:
  • Throughout the day, various Bernie Sanders said they were planning to walk out of the Democratic National Convention, and many more wore fluorescent-colored "Enough is Enough" Sanders t-shirts. They also said their seats were being replaced by Clinton supporters as they walked out.

The protesters who began a march in the halls of the Wells Fargo Center were from the California delegation and held up a California flag as well as smaller American flags and signs in support of presumptive Green party presidential nominee Jill Stein.

"They have stolen the election," Bernie Sanders delegate Carlos Marroquin told onlookers. "Hillary Clinton and the DNC stole the election."

Marroquin said "millions of people" had lost their vote "because of the corruption that happened at the DNC," referring to the perceived collusion between the party and Clinton.

More Sanders delegates and supporters with credentials joined the protest, which soon turned into a media scrum.

"It's so easy to preach this idea of unity, of getting over it," California delegate Martha Meccano said. "We talked to Clinton delegates, all they said was grow up." Meccano said Clinton supporters argued Sanders supporters should vote for her to stop Trump, but Meccano rejected the argument. "We're not going to vote out of fear," she said.

And your party chose a petty vile FBI INVESTIGATED sack of human shit, who FBI director James Comey clearly said is guilty of all charges, but who for corrupt reasons will not be prosecuted.
She is literally guilty of treason regarding her illegal private e-mail server, that has already disclosed top secret information, for which General Petraeus and others in her State Department were convicted for far less!

Regarding Trump, you have insults, but you have no solid basis for saying he is unqualified to be President. Trump is a very successful businessman, with clear experience in managing budgets and creating jobs. While he has had some unsuccessful ventures, he has had a far higher ratio of success than most businesses.
As contrasted with Hillary, where HER ENTIRE CAREER has been mired in scandal, corruption, insider trading, radical Marxism, and just pure vindictiveness. Dwight Eisenhower, among many others before him, had no prior experience in Washington government.

One of the things that make me burn the most regarding Hillary Clinton is her CONSISTENT open contempt for our military, law enforcement, national security, and rule of law. The Benghazi Negligence and cover-up. Contempt for the families of those who died in Benghazi because of her negligence! The woman has cold blood and scales just below the smile she gives to the cameras.
The way she treated (And still treats) Secret Service, that makes her loathed by them, to the point that they say it is among them considered "punishment" to be assigned to protect her.
Corruption of the Clinton Foundation (also under FBI investigation).
Keeping an illegal private e-mail server, destroying 30,000-plus e-mails under subpoena, and then destroying the hard-drive,despite it also being under subpoena!
There is absolutely no way you can convince anyone but the politically uninformed that Hillary Clinton is worthy of the presidency, or that Donald Trump is somehow less qualified.

One of the main reasons I like Trump is because both parties have been part of the "Washington establishment" that has been selling out American workers with international free trade agreements and offshoring of jobs and factories to third-world countries, has undermined U.S. sovereignty, fostered U.S. dependency on foreign goods, lack of border security and uncontrolled illegal immigration, admitting hundreds of thousands of muslim refugees whose identity and safety to the nation cannot be verified, printing of trillions of dollars that threaten to collapse our currency.

Both parties have enabled this, for 25-plus years. And when Democrat liars say "Well even many Republicans don't support Trump" that bypasses that they are Republicans who have sold out conservative values and are part of the same corrupt 2-headed beast with the Democrats (Boehner, McConnell, John Roberts, James Comey... ) who even when they have the power to stop the corrupt system, just don't. (i.e., "The fix is in.")
If they don't support Trump, that just demonstrates to me and millions of others that Trump is the guy to support if this corruption is ever to be cut away.

Trump is the only one who makes a priority of changing these destructive forces. Whereas Hillary has made clear nothing will change if she is elected, and if anything will accelerate this destruction.

Regarding Bernie Sanders, your argument is the same as saying that if your grandmother is going to die, it's okay to kill her rather than care for her.
The leadership in the DNC (as incriminatingly released in the Wikileaked e-mails) show the entire Democrat leadership plotting every last slanderous and anti-Semitic dirty trick to destroy him pre-emptively, including DNC chair Debbi Wasserman-Schultz!
Including her DNC chair replacement Donna Brazile!!
Your eagerness to abandon the rules to advance your candidate Frau Hitlery just manifests your own corruption. That you support any dirty trick, any abandonment of the rule of law, any treason, that advances your agenda.

If the debates are run in in the same Democrat-partisan way as they were under Martha Raddatz and Candy Crowly in the 2012 debates, where they co-debated alongside Joe Biden and Barack Obama, and in Crowley's case fronted false information that bailed out Obama (and was not corrected by CNN until a day later when no one was watching), then Trump not participating with that kind of bias against him is a damn good idea.

I don't know, MEM. Remember how, at every debate, everyone assumed this would be the time Trump took a tumble and, yet, he just seemed to keep going up in the polls?

I realize that this is a general election, not a primary, but at some point you have to wonder if the American people care that much about who can score rhetorical niceties.

I also heard a report (unconfirmed) that the DNC was trying to schedule the debates on nights where there wouldn't be a lot of men watching (football game nights on other channels, for example) as a way to "rig" the viewership. So I could see Trump refusing to participate if that's the case.

\:lol\:

Well, gee, there's no history of the DNC doing THAT before, is there? Just every DNC primary debate this election year. The DNC has been coddling and protecting Hillary every step of the way, whereas Trump has made himself more available to every GOP primary stacked against him, and to every liberal media interview stacked against him. And there is absolutely no denying that the media, and even the GOP, did everything they could to shoot down Trump as a candidate.

The difference is the GOP did everything within the rules to stop Trump, whereas the DNC went way beyond that broke every rule attempting to pre-emptively knock out Sanders.

I think that's a fair speculation of how it will come across to both sides.

Frau Hitlery had an interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday today. Her answers came across as very nuanced and insincere, carefully evading the minefield of her own making when asked about the array of scandals that surround her candidacy. Just so much obfuscation, and anyone who is not already a Hillary supporter could plainly see that.

And by "special treatment", you mean he simply wants a moderator who does not co-debate him alongside Hillary Clinton, and throw Hillary a lifeline when Trump out-debates her. And NOT select a debate broadcast time that excludes the white male demographic that are his strongest supporters.

A lot of innuendo and speculation, with no specifics.
As compared with Hillary Clinton's blatant treason in her negligence over Benghazi, and with her illegal private e-mail server that was ripe for the hacking by the Russians and Chinese.
Not to mention her hatred of police and military, her Alinsky RULES FOR RADICALS-training in Cultural Marxism, and her general contempt for the nation she would lead. She wants the power and prestige of the office, but like her Kenyan predecessor, is not a believer in America or its exceptionalism, only in what she can radically transform it into.

I don't see anything in the Wash Post that contradicts what I said above. The Trump group didn't include language that obligates the U.S. to provide military aid to Ukraine, but still leaves a nonspecific door open to provide Ukraine whatever is deemed "necessary" assistance, which could include military, but does not obligate.

And I'm very sure that if Trump did insist on specific language to provide military aid, the same Washington Post and other lying pro-Hillary liberal media would say "Trump is a warmonger, he's going to start a war!" That they would never do with even the most hawkish remarks by Hillary.

Trump could always provide assistance as soon as the election is over, without it being used to bludgeon him by a one-sided media during the election. (and this article was written BEFORE the Republican convention, so some of this issue may not be the same as what is in this WP hit-piece article).

Also, I'd like to point out that Ukraine is not a NATO member we are obligated to protect. And it's in the center of Eurasia, where Russia has a great logistical advantage.

I frankly think this is a dishonest attack on Trump, where you hold ambiguity of language by Trump's platform on Ukraine to a standard you don't hold actual YEARS of callous indifference by Hillary and Obama, who are actually in a position to help Ukraine. (vs. Trump, who may or may not be able to finally do so in January 2017, if he wins).

A dishonest partisan attack, no doubt launched to divert from discussion of Hillary Clinton's hacked e-mails that are ACTUAL treason.
And her treason through nations buying her loyalty through the Clinton Foundation.
And her leaving an ambassador and U.S. soldiers to die in Benghazi.

Executive Summary
  • A major technology transfer component of the Russian reset overseen by Hillary Clinton substantially enhanced the Russian military’s technological capabilities, according to both the FBI and the U.S. Army.

Russian government officials and American corporations participated in the technology transfer project overseen by Hillary Clinton’s State Department that funnelled tens of millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation.

A Putin-connected Russian government fund transferred $35 million to a small company with Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta on its executive board, which included senior Russian officials.

John Podesta failed to reveal, as required by law on his federal financial disclosures, his membership on the board of this offshore company.

Podesta also headed up a think tank which wrote favorably about the Russian reset while apparently receiving millions from Kremlin-linked Russian oligarchs via an offshore LLC.

But situations where Hillary Clinton unquestionably lied, compromised national security with her private e-mail server and even stripped classified markers to e-mail top secret information, where Hillary Clinton lied to the surviving families of those killed in Benghazi, alleging their family members died because of an anti-muslim YouTube video, rather than because of her own negligence, and where she sells out America to foreign governments through millions in donations to the Clinton Foundation, that's not news to you!

But the fact that Donald Trump runs a business that has occasional cash flow problens and gets a business loan like most other businesses, THAT to you and the other liberal partisans at the New York Times, is somehow far worse than Hillary's blatant corruption and treason.

Trump can just claim he short circuited, then it's all good, right?

But that would be at least every other day, lol. No, I think you should just keep ignoring how awful and unfit Trump is and concentrate on bitching about the press for having the audacity to actually do their job.

I have no problem with the press doing their job, but they ought to do it for both candidates.

The problem isn't the media G. Your candidate practically has a daily item to show off his character. Again it's not their job to please you or me.

Re: the 2016 DNC convention

No. There is blatant media bias, and if equal scrutiny were given by the media to both candidates, this election would at the very least be much closer.

http://www.mrc.org gives quantifiable numbers and examples of this, on pretty much a daily basis.

Things that are major stories with Trump, Oh! Awful! Disgraceful! Renders him unworthy of office! Are not even MENTIONED when Hillary is in the exact same situation, or far worse.

Also:
http://www.mrc.org/media-bias-101

On the inherent one-sided liberal bias of the media, that is quantifiable in the number of stories reported, and 5 decades of polls of reporters on how they vote, and how they see a spectrum of issues.

As Marco Rubio said during one of the primary debates, answering a question about super-PAC influence, Rubio answered "Well of course, the greatest super-PAC of all is the liberal media..."

There is absolutely no question there is liberal bias in the media, and absolutely no question it negatively impacts Republicans. In 2012, in two separate debates Martha Raddatz and Candy Crowley BOTH intervened on behalf of the Obama/Biden ticket, and sided against the Republican ticket, in Crowley's case in a way that likely cost Romney votes, making Romney look foolish citing false facts in favor of Obama, and not correcting the error until a day later after the debate, when far fewer were watching and probably even knew of the CNN correction. Obama won with 51% of the vote, and the media did its part to bring him the very narrowest of victories.

Since the DNC convention, where Hillary Clinton got a 9 or 10 point bounce, Trump has in barely 3 weeks continued to close the gap into a virtual tie in most states, and continues to rise in the polls.
