I'm not sure exactly what your point is on this one.

In the media, it was portrayed as Republican racists who were demanding Obama's birth certificate. And as my posts for 9 years here back up, I never considered this the best issue to attack Obama on, that it just played into Democrat hands, because it's very clear that Obama was born in Hawaii, where both his parents met and attended college.

The demand for Obama's birth certificate, that every other presidential candidate provided, is a legitimate one. The allegation that he was born in Kenya is completely false, and even the likes of Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly quickly reported that. It was a fringe of Republicans who bought and promoted that narrative, NOT the Republican mainstream. And certainly not me.

The Obama-Newspeak media also neglected to report that:
1) it was the Hillary Clinton campaign that first raised the slander narrative that Obama was not born in the U.S. and demanded Obama's birth certificate,
and
2) it wasn't racist and unique to a black presidential candidate, the same slander narrative treatment was given to John McCain, alleging McCain was "not a U.S. citizen" and therefore not eligible to be president, even though he was in truth born at a U.S. Naval base in Panama. (Which again, was a slander campaign begun within the Hillary Clinton campaign, that the mainstream media minimally if at all reported.)

the Hillary campaign did it has been debunked so many times. You can't even hold Trump accountable for his own birtherism or well anything he says or does. Dictators proclaim free and independent press as the enemy of the people. Trump regularly making that declaration should bother you.

It's beyond dispute that the Hillary Clinton campaign stole the nomination from Bernie Sanders, rigging the result with leaders in the DNC, and self-incriminatingly revealed in the Wikileaks exposure of internal DNC e-mails, including those of Donna Brazile, and Debbie Wasserman-bitch-cunt-Schultz (the latter of whom was immediately rehired the same day as her DNC chair resignation by the Clinton campaign). And Donna Brazile, despite her corruption, was enbraced as Shultz' replacement as head of the DNC. Both evil and shamelessly corrupt. As is Hillary.

All Donald Trump did with the Birther issue was ask for Obama's birth certificate. He didn't say Obama was born in Kenya, he said every other candidate has shown their birth certificate, and if the birther allegation is false, then Obama should have no problem producing his birth certificate. And like so many other things Trump does, many other people tried to get Obama to do so, but it was Trump's public pressure that caused a drop in Obama's polls that finally got Obama to reveal his birth certificate.

And Trump's off the cuff comments about "fake news" CNN and liberal media doesn't bother me, because it is so demonstrably true. Almost every day there are more examples of the media alleging things that a day later are proven false. The Kavanaugh sex allegations disproven by over 60 of the women who were allegedly assaulted in their public statement yesterday. Allegations from Woodward's new book disputed by the White House officials allegedly quoted as "pure fiction".

So often they are annonymous allegations with no named sources (i.e., MADE UP) that they would withhold the story for if the same allegations were made about a Democrat.

As I said earlier:

I fully answered that above. Trump is not a birther, he just humiliated Obama publicly about Obama's evasiveness, and caused Obama to drop in the polls until Obama finally, after four or five years, to finally release his birth certificate, as every other 2008 candidate and previous candidate had years before.

Trump in a nationally covered power-play, humiliated Obama. That does not make Trump a birther. It just means that, as in so many other areas, Trump was able to make it happen and make Obama finally concede his birth certificate, where many others had failed to.

That was his opening shot on Obama.
He has deliciously followed through by legislating or executive ordering away virtually every last vestige of Obama's failed cultural marxist America-destroying presidency. Obamacare (defunded at least), The Iran Deal, crippling taxes, closing the open borders, rebuilding our gutted military, crushing ISIS in Iraq/Syria. All of it.

Even if Trump was making the kook aid and not drinking it himself doesn't mean the birther label doesn't apply. I think it makes him worse to be honest. I of course can't speak to how Obama felt about Trump's birtherism but it made me feel sad that he was able to build a base of support with a lie.

Fair play!

Trump at White House press conference, Wednesday 11-7-2018, after mid-term election
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sq8iceDjUgk

The uncivility toward the president by a media that despises him is on full display throughout. And I wish this was just one press conference I could point to, but it's really EVERY press conference Trump has.

They treat Trump in a way they would never treat Obama or Clinton. And if any reporter did treat Obama this way (the way EVERY ONE of them treats Trump) they would accuse that reporter of racism or misogyny or at least uncivility.

When asked where uncivility in politics is coming from, Trump rightly says look no further than the media. That is where uncivility begins and ends.

In particular was a part where CNN reporter Jim Acosta had already asked a few already rude questions, and then descended into "Are you a white supremacist, Mr. President? Are you a racist?" type of grandstanding, at which point Trump told him to sit down and give the microphone to another reporter. A White House intern walked over to take the microphone from Acosta, and as she did so, Acosta brushed her hand away. She reached again and grabbed the microphone to take it, and Acosta gripped harder on the microphone and refused to let her take it. She knelt down on her knees to wait, to draw herself away from being the center of attention, and finally after another minute or so Acosta finally gave her the microphone.

Laura Ingraham said some in the media are now calling him "Jim Accost-her" for his treatment of the girl.

The "Obama was born in kenya and therefore not eligble to run for president" narrative was created by a Hillary Clinton staffer.
Period, the end.

If Obama had simply presented the documents that every other presidential candidate presented, there would have been no margin for Trump to question whether Obama had a U.S. birth certificate. MANY YEARS AFTER OBAMA HAD NOT DONE SO, Trump publicized the issue, and publicized Obama's nondisclosure, to the point that it began to hurt Obama politically and make him decline in the polls, at which point Trump was again able to do what no one else could do, make Obama disclose his documentation of citizenship.

And I again point out that the Hillary Clinton campaign began the same false narrative against John McCain in 2008, alleging he was not born in the U.S. and therefore not elegible to run for president. (McCain was, of course, born on a U.S. naval base in the Panama canal zone, and certainly a U.S. citizen and able to run. And likewise Obama was born in Hawaii, where both his parents met and attended college, so Obama also is a U.S. citizen and on that criteria able to be president. So it isn't "racist", the same tactic was used against McCain, and last time I checked, McCain was white.)

As far as CNN and other Trump-cited "fake news", when newspapers and network news channels consistently release an unprecedented number of news stories where they cite anonymous sources to accuse the president, or deliberately report stories that are proven to be factually untrue about the president, or in their zeal to report something negative about the president repeatedly get the story wrong, all in an effort to damage the president politically, they are in fact "fake news" and factually innaccurate. Deliberately and maliciously innaccurate, and by choice an instrument of the opposing party on a holy mission to damage and destroy the President.
And Trump has repeatedly said that it is not all news that is fake news, not even all those who report negatively about him, but only those sources that are partisan against him and deliberately dishonest.

As this....

List of examples of CNN "fake news" false reports:
https://www.taskade.com/v/ByzMWWQkql

and this...

President Trump's list of "top 10" fake news reports of 2017
https://gop.com/the-highly-anticipated-2017-fake-news-awards/

...are just a few representative samples of.

There is pretty much a false narrative launched by the liberal media at least once a week, often exposed as inaccurate just a few days later, and never apologized for.
The unbearable snottiness with which White House Press and other reporters treat President Trump, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and ANY Trump official, is daily proof of their partisan bias against the president. AGAIN: a way they would never treat Obama or any of his officials.

And on the media's selective omission of the facts that would vindicate the president in alleged "Russia collusion", and their failure to report on the abuses of the Hillary Clinton campaign, the abuses and collaboration by oficials of the FBI, DOJ, CIA, NSA, and the filing of deliberately fabricated FISA on false evidence, where branches of government were weaponized against Republicans to bring down Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.
And similar earlier Lois Lerner IRS abuses also largely unreported, similarly dismissively reported to fly cover for the Democrats.

In these specific cases where the news media have abandoned objective pursuit of the truth, have partisanly chosen sides, have suppressed knowledge of a nation-threatening conspiracy, the news media (those participating in the malicious false reporting, suppression of facts, and cover-up) are in fact the enemy of the people that Trump has identified them as.
