I did write in there: 1st season.
Because the others were crap.
But the first season was brilliant, and so were the actors. Sure, Dean Cain wasn't a great Superman, but he was great as a modern interpretation of Clark. And John Shea's Lex Luther was outstanding. So what if he had hair? It's his interpretation of the character that kicked ass. They really fucked things up when they killed him off, and then came back in season two with a new writing team, and a new Jimmy. WTF!? Jimmy was perfect in season one. And Perry with "Great shades of Elvis!" That was great. They had a great formula. Much better than Superdawson.
I loved the first season of that show also. I just love smallville more. Maybe we will find out who is right (me) after the vote?

Optimus Prime (Transformers) He is beyond explanation.
Kermit the Frog (Various) He could go from the kid-themed Sesame Street to the adult-themed Muppet Show, to movies seemlessly and always entertain.
C. J. Parker (Baywatch) The sole reason that show became number one in the world.

Uhh... I already posted Crow as a candidate. Try to keep up.
And I already posted that I don't have time to comb over everybody else's lists.
Then don't make broad generalizations when you're clearly missing information.
...what in Gob's name are you blubbering about? therealdeadshot's post reminded me that any character from MST 3K could be on this list, what information am I missing?
Snarf:
I'd expect such nonsense from a lying deleter such as yourself...
You're lucky I'm not mod of this forum, or I'd delete that post so fast...
Rob, did we do all this work for you for nothing?
Adding my list. Don't care if they've been posted before.

Bill Maxwell, the Greatest American Hero
Rick Simon, Simon and Simon
AJ Simon, Simon and Simon
Angel, Buffy/Angel
Buffy Summers, Buffy
Spike, Buffy/Angel
Wesley Wyndam-Price, Angel
John Chrichton, Farscape
I'm gonna shy away from the animated stuff for this list.
Bill Mcneal - NewsRadio (Phill Hartman arrogance is always gold--Especially for this character.)
Vic Mackie - The Shield (Level-headed smart individual, definitely a leader. Submerging him knee deep in his own shit and watching him go through the verses of cleaning it up whilst life keeps adding to the pile is a truly grueling test for one such leader. And that makes for good television.)
Jack Bauer - 24 (Demonstrates with cold honesty what it takes to be a true patriot as well as a heroic individual.)
Fox Mulder - X-Files (A person who's open to any explanation surely has a bunch worth listening to in kind.)
Dana Scully - X-Files (Shows exactly why religion is on the same level as science rather than making it out to be a juxtaposition.)
John Crichton - Farscape (He's so cray-zeh!)
Al Bundy - Married With Children (A true representative of the working man. The very backbone of capitalism that shows it can take a lickin' but keep on tickin'.)
Data - Star Trek: The Next Generation (One of the true triumphs of TNG was blurring the lines between man and machine. Data's presence on the show and his striving to be human accomplished that just fine.)
Vancome Lady - MAD TV (The funniest act in all of sketch comedy.)

Hell fucking yeah.
Probably my favorite right now.
James West- The Wild, Wild, Wild West
Artemus Gordon- Ditto.
It's a damn shame not many other folks my age know this show. I'll reference it, and after the blank stare, I explain it's from the Wild Wild Wild West, they either still have no idea, or worse, say "You mean that Will Smith movie?"
Since they made that travesty, along with Cedric the Entertainer in the Honeymooners, I say it's only fair that Hollywood make a "Good Times" movie with an elderly Asian woman playing the role that Jimmy Walker made famous.
Now that I'm a mod, I'm taking this over.
I'll take suggestions until friday, then we will start narrowing it down.
But first, some changes to the rules.
Only actors from real shows can be nominated, no reality show characters, or talk show hosts and such.
Also, if their is enough characters to do so, I will split the cartoon characters off into a different category.
Cliff Huxtable
Clair Huxtable
Sam Malone
Ralph Cramden
Ed Norton
Detective Eliot Stabler (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit)
Detective Olivia Benson (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit)
David Puddy (Hell, the four main Seifeld cast members should be nominated)
This is a decent place to start, off the top of my head...
You have until midnight pacific time to make your suggestions.
After that you're out of luck.
Ellen - Ellen. I can't say that I liked her, or the stupid show....but the 'big event' raised a lot of social conciousness. She was more than a tv character...she was a mini revolution.
Hawkeye Pierce
Lennie Briscoe
