Excellent gorram flick. Loved it. Lots of action, some creepy-factor, plenty of humor... All in all, a great film.

A "Spoiler" warning would have been nice.

It was nice seeing the whole River thing being dealt with. I was surprised to see two major characters get killed. The Reaver's were scary in the movie unlike in the TV show. Also liked seeing Simon & Kaly get together. I liked all the characters but those two & Jane were my favorites.

I enjoyed seeing River go medieval on the Reavers. And Jayne was also great, funny and adverserial as the plot required it.

you don't need to give spoilers for characters no one knows and a movie no one will ever see.

You need to leave more space in between the warning, and the content.

Was it just me or did Jayne mellow out some & was even a bit of a hero?

Whose reavers and janey?
Posted By: Son of Mxy Re: So I finally saw Serenity... - 2005-10-10 5:54 AM
they showed janey's beaver?

Reavers are essentially berserk space cannibals. Jayne is a hired thug who is only with the good guys because he's kinda thick & greedy. Captain Mal paid Jayne to switch sides in the middle of a fight & he's stayed with the Firefly crew since.

Janey is a girl's name.

Of course, every now and then, they'd show him as something more than a greedy thug. In the pilot, when Book was about to say grace, Jayne was on of the first to bow his head. And in The Message, we learn that Jayne sends a portion of his cut to his mom and sister. Also in that episode, we see Jayne take off his hat during several solemn moments.

I can see how you wouldn't like it, Pariah, seeing how it's about neither Asian trannies nor Ray Liotta.

Spot on Snarf. I don't like the fact that this movie is so insanely melodramatic and quippy gay that its story could only have originated, and been liked by, an individual who constantly obsesses and laments over the fact that he has no girlfriend. And due to this fact, I'd rather watch Asian trannies get it on with Ray Liotta.

All By Myself
~ Celine Dion
by Eric Carmen/Sergei Rachmaninoff

When I was young
I never needed anyone
And making love was just for fun
Those days are gone
Livin' alone
I think of all the friends I've known
When I dial the telephone
Nobody's home

All by myself
Don't wanna be
All by myself
Anymore

Hard to be sure
Sometimes I feel so insecure
And loves so distant and obscure
Remains the cure

All by myself
Don't wanna be
All by myself
Anymore
All by myself
Don't wanna live
All by myself
Anymore

When I was young
I never needed anyone
Making love was just for fun
Those days are gone

All by myself
Don't wanna be
All by myself
Anymore
All by myself
Don't wanna live
Oh
Don't wanna live
By myself, by myself
Anymore
By myself
Anymore
Oh
All by myself
Don't wanna live
I never, never, never
Needed anyone

If it's not something you're interested in, fine. But don't insult those of us who enjoyed the movie and would like to discuss it. There are better things you can do with your time, Pariah, like jerking off while watching your copy of No Escape.

I'm sorry Snarf, but it's just too much fun to make you lose your mind over a Joss Wedon flick.
