Any other good ones out there?
Any other good ones out there?
there ya go!
over all, id say winmx and/or kazaa are the way to go.
WinMX works great!
Can you get arrested for child pornography if they find Tracy Lords on your harddrive?
Plus, I can finally add to my collection of cheesy Tom Jones songs!!!
*Audiogalaxy
-It's gotta be the best there is. Never disconnects on me or any of that WinMX shit. I use this for all my MP3 needs.
-What sucks about it? Just searches for Mp3s, no movies or porn. It's flooding with ppl, it disconnects me more than often. Ever since I downloaded it on my new computer I have not been able to get on.
*WinMX
-It has the most material I've ever seen. You can search for anything(movies, videos, MP3s, pictures, text and programs). It's huge! I use this for all my movie/video needs.
-What sucks about it? It gives me a busy signal a lot. I can't think of anything else.
*Morpheus
-It is one of the best. It is the most popular among users from www.download.com. But it doesn't compare to Audiogalaxy an WinMX.
-What sucks about it? Like WinMX, it disconnects too much for my taste.
*BearShare
- I don't really like it. Not much stuff.
*KaZaa
-It's pretty good. It's like a mix between Bearshare and Morpheus. It does have quite a few files.
-What sucks about it? It does disconnect some times. But not as much as WinMX.
I'm looking for one that can resume downloads even after my computer shuts down. I'd like a one that can search for movies and programs without downloading it from individuals(like napster). It needs to have a lot of stuff. Is there anything like this other than audiogalaxy, WinMX, Morpheus, Kazaa, crapster, napster and mIRC.
winmx does dat.
as long as you dont delete the partially downloaded file, of course.
just search for that movie/song/program again. when you find the same result, instead of double clicking to download, right click on it and select "resume from." then choose the partially downloaded item, and bam, it'll resume.
<<I'd like a one that can search for movies and programs without downloading it from individuals(like napster).>>
imesh and edonkey arent bad for that. but those programs have no where near the user base. plus, they're HUGE on system resources -- consistantly drain your computer.
every program has its flaws.
the winner at the end, tho, is still winmx.
