To be honest, its because its a womens movie featuring vamps n shit, meaning they drag along their men with them, where as most men probably went to see Dark Knight on their own.

With a film like Sex and the city, most women would probably take their female friends with them, but with a vamp movie, even an emo one, they would feel obliged to take a man with them because they are all scared n shit and need someone to hug.
