We already knew Ray Bradbury hated the Internet. When Yahoo asked if it could reprint one of his stories last year, the author answered, "To hell with you. To hell with you and to hell with the Internet." But now that he's about to turn 90, we were hoping he'd change his mind. Apparently not.
In an interview with Hero Complex, the author of Fahrenheit 451 said:
"We have too many cellphones. We've got too many Internets. We have got to get rid of those machines. We have too many machines now."
Bradbury also said that "our country is in need of a revolution," complained that "there is too much government today," and insisted President Obama "should be announcing that we should go back to the moon."
We're not entirely sure how we can have smaller government AND go back to the moon, but maybe Bradbury can write a story explaining it all for us.
