I don't care enough to embed the video.
I'm sure this has nothing, nothing, to do with the fact that his last couple of live action movies have grossed a grand total of $4.9 million dollars to date.
sweet.
I liked Everything Must Go and the one where he could hear the writer talking about him. Most of his other movies I didn't care for.

Stranger Than Fiction and Old School are his only great movies. Everything else has just been him talking loudly and not funny.
Ferrell is funny as a supporting actor (Old School, Zoolander, the Wedding Crashers) but that's about it.
Ferrell is hit and miss. Anchor Man, Talladega Nights, and Step Brothers are all hilarious; and I give a lot of credit to his co-stars for keeping those afloat. But Elf was so bad that even Bob Newhart couldn't help it.

What, nobody liked "The Other Guys?"

I've never been able to watch it all the way through.

Step Brothers does not get old. Funny every time.
Did you touch my drums?
I like Ferrel's SNL skits. He's very funny in small doses, but it gets old very fast if I have to sit through his antics for 2 hrs.

Stranger than fiction is the only movie of his that I liked, and it's not even a comedy.
Stranger Than Fiction was actually a surprise that he could play a role straight. Ferrell's one of those guys who has a set numbers of characters that he plays. It's all a matter of finding the right material to fit one of them. Having guys like Steve Carell and Paul Rudd in Anchorman made that film worth it. John C. Reilly in Talladega and Step Brothers proved that he was the best comedy partner for Ferrell.
I liked The Other Guys and Land Before Time a lot. The only movie of his I've hated is the one where he's an ice skate dancer or a basketball player or something. I also thought Old School was not as funny as everyone said but I may just need to re-watch it.

Marshall Will N. Holly was comedy gold!!
I rewatched JaSBSB the other day and his character is the only part of that movie still funny.

i thought old school was actually a good movie, rather than "just" a funny movie; and anchorman was awesome. the rest (from elf to other guys to blades of glory) each had some funny moments in them, but i found them to generally be unfunny and poor movies. and, for the most part, it seems like they're all the same character - not that he was othello or macbeth in anchorman and old school, but at least there was a bit more development to each.
