I got a ten dollar bill once, and someone had written on it:

chicken fried steak is basically just fried cube steak. lil milk, then in some flour with some seasoning mixed in, fry that shit up. some mashed tatas n gravy, good stuff.

anything from salt n pepper, seasoning salt, or, i prefer just regular tony chachere's creole seasoning. even put some of that stuff in the potatoes.

well, i would be surpised if you couldn't get it at a truck stop. hell, down here some places make a mexican style, which basically is with beans n rice instead of mashed tatas, and just tabasco cheese and salsa on the chicken fried steak

Not that I've ever heard, honestly. I do a lot of travelling and eat at truck stops sometimes, I honestly can't say that I've ever seen it. I will go to one tomorrow and see whether it's on the menu. I'll let you know.
