This summer I'm going to read all that I can get my hands of Alan Moore's work, all in a row, combining what I own with what my local library has. So here's the list:

Swamp Thing
1 - Saga of the Swamp Thing
2 - Love and Death
3 - The Curse
4 - Murder of Crows
5 - Earth To Earth

DCU
Across the Universe
Whatever Happened To The Man Of Tomorrow?
Killing Joke

ABC
Tom Strong 1 & 2
Promethea 1-3
Top 10 1 & 2
Tomorrow Stories 2 (crap I want #1 as well)
America's Best Comics trade
LOEG 1 & 2

Liefield
Supreme: Story of the Year
Supreme: The Return
Judgment Day

Other
Watchmen
From Hell
V for Vendetta
The Complete Ballad of Halo Jones
Another Suburban Romance

I will supplement this with readings of "Alan Moore: Portrait of an Extraordinary Gentlemen," "The Pocket Essential Alan Moore," and "The Extraordinary Works of Alan Moore".

OBSESSED? POSSIBLY.

I've been meaning to do this for some time with both Moore and Gaiman. However, I'm currently trying to work my way through The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Iliad, so I doubt I'll be able to do it anytime soon, sadly...

I noticed you left off the sixth Swamp Thing trade "Reunion". I assume that's included as well.

Then, everything I can get my hands on in the Vertigo world:

Sandman
1 - Preludes and Nocturnes
2 - The Doll's House
3 - Dream Country
4 - Season of Mists
5 - A Game Of You
6 - Fables and Reflections
7 - Brief Lives
8 - World's End
9 - The Kindly Ones
10 - The Wake
11 - Endless Nights

The Dream Hunters
Death: The High Cost Of Living
Death: The Time Of Your Life
Sandman Presents: The Furies
Sandman Presents: Taller Tales
Book of Dreams
Books of Magic: Bindings (is this sandman related?

Lucifer
(library doesn't have vol. 1, maybe I should buy it)
2 - Children and Monsters
3 - A Dalliance With the Damned
4 - The Divine Comedy
5 - Inferno

Hellblazer
Dangerous Habits
Fear and Loathing
Tainted Love
Damnation's Flame
Rake at the Gates
Son Of Man

And, of course, Swamp Thing.

I think that's all that takes place in the little Vertigo Universe... I know there's the seperate universe stuff like Preacher, Y, and Fables.

Hmm yeah Reunion. I guess my library doesn't have it though. I'll have to find a copy.

3rd Tom Strong and 4th Promethea are out as well.

Also don't miss The Complete D.r. and Quinch.

If you can get your hands on it the Captain Britain TPB is great as well.

I found D. R. & Quinch disappointing. The first story is brilliant, though.
There's other trades of Moore's stuff in 2000AD, besides that one and the Ballad of Halo Jones. I have one called Twisted Times (or something), comprised mostly of Future Shock stories with several artists. It includes the first collaborations with Dave Gibbons, where Moore realizes that this guy will draw any little detail he asks for (something he used in full extent in Watchmen).

If you like Moore there's two comics you must read: A Small Killing, and From Hell. A Small Killing is probably the most personal thing he has ever writen, and his personal favorite. From Hell is the only comic (ever) that can be compared to Watchmen.

Also, check out this site: http://fourcolorheroes.home.insightbb.com/free.html

It has some scripts (48 pages from The Killing Joke and 6 pages from Watchmen), some hard to find early stories, and even a song by Moore's old band, the Sinister Ducks.

But he's doing an Alan moore lovefest so I figure he has to intake it all....there was a lot of innuendo in that sentence.

The art on D.R. and Quinch is worth the price of admission.

AM also did two Youngblood issues for, I dont know, Awesome or some other Leifeld imprint. They're very funny and a good read, just be careful cause issue 1 comes in a thousand covers.
www.allanmoorefansite.com seems to be down at the moment. , but you can still go here for some info !

Don't worry, I saved Dan Jurgens' Teen Titans #1 for you in the 25 cent bin.

Anyone know what that is? Where he relaunched with all new characters and it lasted like five issues or so?
Posted By: The Time Trust Re: Alan Moore - 2004-07-15 9:04 AM
It was 24 issues, and it was fabulous!

Well, not really. Never read it. The idea of a teen Ray Palmer just didn't make much sense to me...

Like, check it, that was so whack.
