On a side note, do you get a CSN with your books? Usually I just flip through it because it doesn't really have info I don't know already. Today's however had some info I didn't know. Like a upcoming new ongoing series called Blood of the Demon. I am assuming it will pickup where Demon: Driven Out left off with Etrigan being free of Jason Blood.

Also, a new twleve-issue limited, Justice, in 2005. A JLA book by Alex Ross, Jim Krueger, and Doug Braithwaite.

A Deadshot series that spins out of Identity Crisis

There was also info about Green Lantern: Rebirth. Straight from the people involved (SPOILERS, I guess):

  • Alan Scott will play a role in Rebirth, as will Guy Gardner and Kyle Rayner (duh)
  • Batman plays a large role in the story as well, promting Van Sciver to say, "He's almost a bad guy."
  • The return of Jordan will also mark the return of the Green Lantern Corps.
  • The are plans for the Spectre down the road.
  • Carol Ferris and Ollie Queen play large roles in Rebirth; for the monthly, Johns will be adding some new supporting characters.
  • Hal Jordan will not be joining the JLA, John Stewart will remain the Lantern with the team.
  • Editor Peter Tomasi also added that the Hal Jordan that comes out the other side of Rebirth won't have white/gray temples, and won't be forty-five years old. "He'll be at his peak," Tomasi said, noting though, that Rebirth will not be deageing the character.
  • Rebirth is a Green Lantern story, not a Spectre story.

Post Pirate!!!

(Damn you and your better-suited RKMB moniker!)
I got nothin'. I walked in, I looked at all the pretty covers, I flipped through a few pages, and I walked out. Good thing there's anime.

BIRDS OF PREY #73

Everything else I picked up is from 2-3 weeks ago...
Birds of Prey #73

The Catwoman I was supposed to get last week but didn't because they ran out. Actually, they still hadn't gotten the reordered ones yet. Those were coming in later. But he guy was nice enough to pull one from somebody elses stack, because that person isn't coming in until next week.
I've got two weeks worth of comics to catch up on. Actually most of what I want came out last week.

I'm losing pateince with Swamp Thing. Andy Diggle's doing the same thing he does in The Losers, where all of a sudden one of the characters will launch into an explaination of what's going on. It's a really ham-fisted way of telling a story. I expect a lot of writers do it, but because I don't find Diggle's dialogue very beleivable, what underlies it is more obvious. I thought that his portrayal of John Constantine was weak too

Andy Diggle is one of these writers whose good ideas translate into mediocre comics. The thing that annoys me is that I sense he's capable of doing much better and that he's coasting.

Only got 1 book this week: Avengers #501.

It gave me the entertainment value of a stack of 10 comics.
I'm lovin' "Disassembled" that much.
Agreed. Bendis has thrown off the gloves and kicked Avengers into ridiculously high gear. Great stuff! I thought the letter column was particularly funny - whiny bitches!
My comic store sold out before I could buy my copy.
Today I got New Teen Titans vol. 2 1-50, and I'm 67% done on Cerebus 1-50.
Next week it'll be thursday eh?

Identity Crisis #4?!?!?!
IC#4 doesn't come out 'til the 15th according to solicitations...

Well, no need to worry. Will Pfeifer is writing the current story arc with issue 7, and Josh Dysart starts writing with the next arc, then.
Avengers 501 & the last issue of Captain Marvel. I picked up CM 24 to see how David ended it. On a very depressing note as it turns out. I'm not crazy about the type of hypothetical question PAD examined in the story. (If you had the chance to kill a Hitler type as a child, would you?)

I liked that last panel in Avengers! Glad to see Warbird in her old Dave Cockrumn costume.
@Glacier16
Any mention of who's writing the Deadshot mini?

That sounds like a mobile phone!
Thanx anyways!
My phone is a Jerry Ordway. It has a shitty signal, though.
So what's your number, disco?

Anyone else see something off with those lyrics? I've been thinking this for years...
