I don't know if anyone has spread the news over here yet, but there is a color version of my cover to Legion #24 posted at ...
http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0306/17/legion24.jpg

My issue is sandwiched between the much publicized Dream Crime storyline and the 45th Anniverary issue. I hope that retailers don't forget to order it in honking huge numbers.

If sales are big, who knows ...

The cover looks FANTASTIC -- thanks for the link! I'll certainly get on MY retailer to have plenty in stock...

Steve, I had started a thread on this early yesterday with the pic embedded in the post but, like I feared, Comics Continuum found out we were pulling from their site for a story that isn't to be released until next Tuesday and took the link off-line. BUT I saved a copy to my temporary site. So for those that have missed it, here it is:

That reminds me, time for my semi-annual pass-it-along-thon.

My friends have 2 kids, their youngest is having a birthday next week. In addition to a gift, I've signed her up for a subscription to a comic book. It's not too expensive, and it's a gift they can't return. [biiiig grin] Seriously tho' it eliminates the need for her to make the trip to a comic book store (and at the age of 12, it would mean a trip for her mother too) and gets her reading.

Think of any kids in your life that could benefit. Whether they are big readers or not, into comics already or not, I guarantee you when that new issue comes each month, they will sit down and read it. And, if the book is good
enough, they will continue on their own.

Something to think about.

He has himself admitted that he is not quick enough to handle a monthly schedule...although that does not excuse that he not do story arcs every year for some book.

Just imagine... a six issue mini-series Legion Academy. Every year they could come out with one, just six issues and drawn by Da Man, Steve.
He wouldn't be rushed, and something that short a year would almost guarantee great sales. I'm telling ya, DC needs to capitolize on this man's draw (and drawings).

I'm all for Steve doing the occassional mini if it means he can work at his own pace, but I don't know if I'd care that much about a "Legion Academy" mini (unless it starred WILDFIRE as an instructor). I'd rather the minis spotlight a small munber of characters each time on a specific mission. That way each could be self-contained without having to deal with whatever larger storyarcs DnA are working on.

At least he's more honest about it that Frank Quietly.
