I thought of starting this thread elsewhere, but then figured it would probably be off-topic most of the time on any board other than this one! [wink]

Anyway, the subject of this thread is trivia on anything other than the Legion -- other comics, movies, TV, music, books, celebrities, etc. Pretty much anything goes!

Here's a fairly easy one to start us off:

Name three of Scooby-Doo's relatives.

You got it, Fantastic Feline! [biiiig grin]

I would have also accepted Scooby Dee and a host of others.

Now it's your turn to post a trivia question!

Starfire
Barbara Gordon
Huntress
Miggy (from the Nightwing mini)

Here's a pretty easy one for the music buffs:

Name three former lead guitarists for The Yardbirds. For extra credit, name their first lead guitarist.

Original guitarist was Anthony Topham. The three you're looking for are Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page.

Another music question: Give me the original lineup for Metallica.

Yep. That's the one I was looking for. And actually, Mustaine didn't make it to the first album either. He was fired shortly before Kill 'em All was recorded. Kirk Hammet was in place as the lead guitarist by then.

Your question?

Figured I'd give someone else a chance to answer, but since nobody else seems to be jumping in...

Aside from Bolin, there were 3 other Deep Purple guitarists. The original, and probably best known was Ritchie Blackmore, who was with the band the longest. Bolin followed him, and served breifly between Blackmore's stints with the band. Joe Satriani played for Deep Purple breifly after Blackmore left a second time. Their most recent guitarist is Steve Morse. [cool]

Next, give me three lead guitarists other than Ace Frehley to play for KISS...

Actually it was Mark St. John, but close enough. The Erics were Carr (RIP) and Singer, both drummers.

Next question?

Sorry. Always got Eric Carr's and Mark's first names mixed up.

In keeping with the rock theme, name the original line-up of the group Yes and what other group had 3 of them been in prior to forming Yes.

Ugh, I know nothing about Yes (or as I like to call them, "No, Thank You..."). Someone else is gonna have to field this one.

i dont believe joe satriani played on an album so therefore doesnt count, but randy california appeared as the guitarist on some california jam compilation album.

Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, Bill Bruford, Tony Kaye, and Peter Banks. Banks is the guy everybody forgets about.

IIRC, a bunch of them were in something called Mabel Greer's Toy Shop.

OK, sticking with Prog, what groups were Emerson, Lake, and Palmer with before they teamed up?

Okay, I promised myself I'd wait an hour before answering this one to give someone else a chance. Don't want to hog the thread. Of course, this is assuming that I'm right. :)

The Nice, King Crimson and Atomic Rooster, respectively.

Just another note. These were the groups they were with immediately prior to forming ELP. I believe the each were with more than one group before the ones listed.

Correct on all counts!

I probably should have been more specific with the question, but those bands were the ones I was thinking of.

All yours.
