Well, I've caught the bug from Grimm and Blackwulf. I decided to do a solo thread with Dirk. This is a flashback story that takes place years ago. Hopefully, when it's all said and done, it will provide a little more background information on who he is and where he comes from. This story sets down why Dirk acts the way he does in many situation (though it won't explain it all, since some of those factors won't be told in this story). It'll also give you guys an idea about how seriously he takes his skills and how advanced they are. The finished product might help some people write him a little more in depth in future issues.
So, give it a gander and tell me what you think of it so far.

Are you happy now, Mxy?! Huh?! Are you?! Actually, I've just been kinda busy lately to add the latest post. I don't want to do this half-assed. I prefer to do it right. Whole-assed or nothing. ![[biiiig grin]](images/icons/grin.gif) I kinda want to give everyone a look at a completely different Dirk than the one I'm writing in the main story. To let everyone know that he wasn't always and insufferable asshole. He became that way from certain events. Enjoy.

I've gone back and checked the Asylum record. You have been put down as permanent leg humper due to the fact that you're the expert and most inclined to do so. It is easy to understand why you forgot. Yes, but you must remember Clause 82B: If there is a female present, then the title of leg humper automatically falls to Mr. Punchdrunk. As he IS the most inclined to do so. . .

Well, back at it. These first few posts have mostly been epilogue. The rest should be a little quicker paced and with more action since I got the backstory out of the way.

I know this is going slow, I just haven't been in the mood or had the time to write the ending. And I don't want to force it. So I'm breaking it down into smaller bits and pieces. I think that will make it easier and finisher quicker.

Yeah, I know. I didn't plan on it taking so long. But I didn't want to screw things up by forcing a post when I wasn't in the mood to write one. Plus, I had to double check and make sure I didn't screw up any of the things I wanted to do later. Like revealing that Rogers is a bad guy in this one. I had to make sure I had wiggle room to make that plot point work.

Good stuff - I like it. :) It reveals some of the reasons why Dirk is one of my favorite characters. Your solo thread was what inspired me to write Unidentified, and it reveals your character wonderfully.
