So, are we doing the storm or KV's idea?
IMO, what KV says sounds pretty promising, but if there's people up to the storm idea, we should do that next since it was first. Maybe KV could start setting things up for his idea during the next issue...

I'm not really into doing a "storm story". I vote for KV's idea.

I know I'm just the new guy but IMO the storm story gives more characters a chance to get involved, which may be a selfish motive, but hey, less ain't always more! Bring on the storm!

I think the majority of us are planning on the storm. Myself, Danny (who suggested it), Gooz, Grimm, & Blackwulf have all said that's the way we want to go next. Right now, that's a majority. KV, I think everyone will agree that you can have the next story to do your idea. Even plant some seeds for it in this one.

I would have preferred KV idea, as issue 10, IMO, should have been a landmark issue.

Yet, I am for democracy, so let's stick with what majority wants.

But wasn't the rule: "First arrive, first serve?"

But what is the storm idea? A storm? Yeah, but what else? Doesn't sound like much of a story idea to me.

This idea's been talked about for a while in the chats. The idea was a hurricane hits the island and the guys have to deal with all the chaos that comes about due to it (which is quite a lot, trust me). It gives every character something to do, puts everyone in danger, and allows us to interact with the locals more. All in all, it should probably make some of our characters feel more at home on the island since they have now risked their lives to save it.

It's called story and character development, folks. I think most of us here are just as interested in making a good story as we are about jumping around beatin' folks up.

Yeah, is a story good as any else.

What I miss, though, is the idea for which we created the MBL: going to different places, makes a variety of stories.

I am not interest in writing fights (hell, I am not ABLE to write fight), but rebuild an island is just another day in the life story, a dangerous and sad one, but not much more.

I mean, cool, but was it really to be done after the current one?

If not KV idea, why not what Mxy proposed weeks ago, the mystery murder, where we should find the killer from the clues he would revela one by one?

That would be something different!

Actually, the Storm idea was first (that's what I said in my last post)

I'd love to do that, and I alredy thought of a theme for the killer, but I don't think I could do it right now. I'll give it a try when I go back to regular posting (that'll give me more time to think about the story, too).

Nu-uh. You're gonna do that story in #11, after the storm, and you're gonna make it rock, you hear me?
You can't say you have a killer idea and then leave me hanging!

But don't forget th eidea of having them settle down and make a home. This story will show that the island is indeed their home and they will protect it at all costs.

This story idea (plus Wulf and my plans for it) is much much more than "just another day in the life" of style story. It has danger, heroes, villains, havoc, mystery, explosions, love, loss, and everything else you can think of. This story is the kick ass double sized special foil cover giant sized motha fucker that dreams are build on.

If so, very good. I feared of having to do just "Edulcore Cicciotto, super-mason".

A thing: it's all planned out, or it's open to any direction? Just to know, to avoid the "metahuman bar" mess

Every last detail has been planned in advance. JKing of course. We have some stuff we want to intro but only a beginning has been planned, the middle and end can go in any direction. BAWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I'm done with this one. Pretty happy with the outcome also, in spite of all the clashing. Gonna try to catch up in my solo thread. . .

And Danny did propose his hurricane idea first. The cool thing with this is that it builds naturally from the weather in this issue. And guys, a hurricane is a lot more than just a storm. Ever heard the term "force of nature"? This is what they meant. (and since we can't do the Naecken thing or the EPS thing, the hurricane would make a great followup.)

I'm glad some more detail was explained here. Though I've been to nearly every chat (as far as I know), I don't recall any real discussion of the storm idea, only a mention of it here and there, but nothing in depth. One of you guys is going to have to fill me in next chat.

BTW, I've been thinking about a few problems with being legally dead but not dead. Essentially Kristofer Schanz is a non-entitity, since on paper he doesn't exist, having legally died on January 1st, 2002 in Mandelovia (there was a small funeral and everything). Obviously he can't access any of Pete's money, though that's not too much of a problem for the team considering that Pete put almost all of his money into that foundation owned by the team itself which pays all the bills. But it does open up some interesting legal questions I hope to address soon... [wink]

I'm gonna leave the scene with Phil where it is and maybe even leave it unresolved until later. Never hurts to have a little more mystery, and besides, there wasn't enough story left for me to really do anything with that scene. But I know you all loved the glass thing! Phil will slip into #10 relatively early but I wanna see how it starts out first.

I've pretty much done everything I wanted to do in this story, though if it's still open I may make one or two more posts. I dunno. I'll just hit "post new reply" and see if anything comes to mind... the way I always work...

The next story should be the LAST story that takes place right after the previous one for a while. I know I'd like to do a solo story or two that takes place between stories, and the situations with the last few stories have made that impossible. Let's let some time actually pass... [wink]

From the "It was all a moot point anyways" category:

Shit has come up in that "life" of mine, and I won't have any time to flesh out my story. Will try to get a post in the next issue. If it's any solace, I overrated my idea anyway.

Well, hope things work out for ya. We'll leave issue #11 reserved for you until then, in case you get time to develop your story. Just keep poking your head in every once in a while. We don't like losing characers here. We need all we can get. [biiiig grin]

Danny - Great post! You are doing a wonderful job of writing with Phil. I am very impressed. You captured his personality as well as you know it. There aren't really any big breaks with character, but if you want to go for even more accuracy I put an entry into the Character Profiles thread. Take care!
