What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? I concur. Pretty much every movie Cusacks's made in the last ten years has been gold. High Fidelity, Grosse Point Blank, Midnight In The Garden Of Good and Evil...even Pushing Tin has been cool in its own way.

Serendipity, America's Sweethearts, Con Air? Pushing Tin was...forgettable.
I did like Grosse Point Blank, Being John Malkovich and High Fidelity, though. Midnight I might have enjoyed more if I hadn't read the book(which is so much better than the movie).

I saw that movie when I was 8. It was on HBO and my grandmother thought it was the original. That scene came on and it was PERFECTLY clear that this was NOT the original. But, by the time Nana had changed the channel, the damage had been done. I STILL have nightmares about that movie and, every time I see it, that scene makes me shake and sweat.
