So, isn't a mod going to set up some voting rounds where we weed each catagory down? Like five at a time? Then, do the run off of each winner? Or, is it going to be a huge poll list?

I'm curious as well. I was under the impression that we were going to use the 'poll' option for voting. Then, we can take the top *whatever number* and do a 'final voting'. I think that sounds better than everyone just jumping in and voting for... whatever.

The above listing should be considered just a reference card about what's eligible and what not.

For example, Chewy in the previous thread suggested, as a best moment, Vanguard Prime. But being it featured in a yet unfinished story, it is not eligible.

Where do I start campaigning for Hal as best villain? Or Danny as best character?

this is a vanguard thing. I don't think independent stories are considered for awards, but I think they sure as hell should be!

I was under the impression that these awards included everything in this forum, I've voted for JLR stuff in the past, so JQ's stuff should be eligible as well.

...oh, and I guess Stupid Doog's less gay stories, too...

And that's terrible.

JLR has their own awards, actually. There's enough stuff to keep track of just with Vanguard without adding other stuff into the mix.

Anyway, it's just the Kampies. It's not like they're handing out cash prizes or anything. But it is exclusive to the Vanguard Universe.

They were, until JLR started their own awards. At that point, the Kamphy, like it has been always before, reverted to a "our universe only" award.

I think a third, "Monkey Typist" award could be held for ALL the things written here. But how many people read ALL of that?

Me, for one.

But all I'm saying is, we should be allowed to vote for JQ's ultra gay stories.

And that's terrible.

What part of "exclusive to the Vanguard Universe" don't you understand, Velo?

The part where its exclusive to the Vanguard universe, obviously.

I've been bopping around since the Kamphies began, and we've never put restrictions on them before.

We never needed to before -- they were always MBL stuff.

Just think of it like a men's club. A men's club only allows men in its membership. If it started allowing women to become members, it wouldn't be a men's club any longer.

Likewise, the Kamphausen Awards (think of them as the "Vanguard Awards" if it helps any) are for the MBL/TOMB/Vanguard stuff only, just as the Starsky-Hutch Awards are for the JLR. Maybe someone should start up a new fake award for other stuff.
