By shadows stand,
Lost in an overflowing sea of sorrow,
I have no end.

A breath of cold blows down,
burning worse than fire.
Consuming me whole.
Worse than eternity.

Lovers glasses ring,
piercing my flesh like jagged stone spikes,
my blood poisoned by jealousy and rage.
I have no end.

From darkness I scream.
Crusted by years of tears,
the shadows swell, consuming me,
ankles first into the dark.

Worse than the beast of life,
less than solemn death.
I linger to witness both joy and sorrow coldly,
apart from the rest.
I have no end.

Don't let the cape fool you, I ain't no ones hero!
