My little sister is trying to get me into this game and I played it for a couple hours the other night. I have to admit it looks like a lot of fun. The only bad part is is that I can only play at on her computer at her house. Would it be worth getting into if I can only play two or three times a week? If anyone here is playing it what servers are you on?

well, if you can only play it a couple of times a week then I'm pretty sure you'll be okay, for a while. Unless you become a hardcore fan you'll probably grow tired of it at some point. That may take months though.

It can also help to keep up your interest.

I'm on the Cenarion Circle server. Of all the drugs n' vices Ive tried in my lifetime, my only addiction that I cannot moderate is online video games. I'll honestly admit its shaved off a percentage of my daily productivity. It's admitedly the reason I've become a pisspoor VG moderator. . . Warcraft!

I wonder who much Dungeons and Dragons Online will eat of the community with great games like Lineage 2, Everquest, World of Warcraft, Star Wars Galaxies, Fintal Fantsy XI and even planetside. They all got a big chuck of market. I think the market is going to be full, I know they make other like the multionline games, it was even planned that Half life 2 strike should be a service you payed for every one, lucky it got skipped away. Today the computer games industri is hard also for EA games and most company most have a fresh supply of money from the multi online company. Yeah, I know that said it for holdning the server us and so on. But that is crap, they are usening some of the money for the server and the crew to the game, but the rest are going to themselves.

D&D will have all the hardcore D&D players, but like their other games it will probably scare away casual players.

A shame that Warhammer Online died away, I kinda like the idea with Dark Fantasy, not the high Fantasy as Dungeon & Dragons, not to mention World of Warcraft which is real high fantasy.

Anyone try or plan on trying Matrix Online?

I'm using a trial offer right now. Played it for a while tonight and loved it. My brothers have been bugging me to get started on this game since it came out. If they find out I'm playing it I'll become one of the WOW addicts.

I was thinking about really starting to get into it once the expansion comes out, but then I saw the game for 20 bucks at Gamestop today. There's no way I'm gonna pass up on that now.

I have a tenth level Paladin named rexstardust on the Tanaris server...I don't think I'm gonna play past the free trial. Everyone I know said that they aren't going to play until the expansion is out. I'll join in again then.

I ended up buying the game and have been playing a couple hours every day. My newest character is Orc hunter named rexstardust and he's on the Silvermoon server. I'll probably be using that one the most.

I've pretty much stopped playing it since I got tired of the community.

I'm moving on to bigger and better fields. Next week is Neverwinter Nights 2, while not a MMO I'm really looking forward to it.

Next year it's Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning!

I can't even imagine getting wrapped up in one of these. I mean...I tend to spend far too much time on conventional games. I shudder to think what would happen if I encountered an online community that would expect your presence and demand hours of devotion.

These games are anthema to those of us given to addiction.

I haven't really gotten "addicted" to this game yet. I play for an hour or two every night, but thats how much time I always play video games. This will probably change when I get a to a higher level or start playing more with others.

Blizzard is updating this game to version 2.0 and will allow you to pre-install most of the expansion pack. If you haven't played for a while be prepared for a lot of downloading.

My main character. I'm almost at level 35, which is halfway to 70. I'm not even gonna bother trying to get him to 60 before the expansion comes out. I have several other characters on other servers (all named rexstardust) that are just to goof around. My brothers and I started some on a PVP server just to see how it is.

I'm also in a guild called "Nerf me". So far I've had good experiences with them but they all think I'm old enough to be their father.

The only creepy part is that the highest level character was made by a guy that died before I joined. They're keeping him in out of respect.

This game has become a buggy mess lately. they keep adding content in anticipation for the Burning Crusade and it keeps messing up other stuff. Three patched in the last week and things still don't work right. If they don't get their shit together by Tuesday there will be a very ugly backlash.


Despite all that my brother and I might be going to the midnight sale on Monday night. I want to see how many freaks come out for this. I think most Gamestop-EB games are opening on midnight for this.

Ok, now I have a PC that is compatible, I am thinking of giving this game a try to see what the fuss is about!
I have downloaded the free 10 day trial version, and will install it all later tonight.

Now what I wanna know, as its easier to ask people than to read all the crap on their website, is what sorta costs am I looking at?

I dont mean what is it in dollars as obviously it'll be a different price here.
What I mean is, am I committed to a regular monthly fee?

If so, can you skip a month if you a strapped for cash, and pick up where you left off a month or so later?

If I buy the game, how often will I have to buy expansion packs etc, or can I ignore them if I choose?

You can skip a month if needed, I'm not sure how long they keep all your account info but my brother stopped playing for over five months and he still had all his characters. If you're not sure if you can pay every month you can buy prepaid cards an any store that sells games. Its all the same price.

There's only one expansion pack so far and you don't need it. A lot of it is stuff you have to be at level 58 to access. There's two new races and some new abilities but there is enough in the original game to keep you busy for a long time.

I posted all my info already but to repeat myself I'm on the silvermoon realm and my name is rexstardust. I'm an orc hunter so if you wanna play with me you have to choose a horde race (which I think you will anyhow). I don't play on the weekdays too much but I'm usually on saturday and sunday mornings from six am to noon my time.
