I think it's much easier to say I would than it would be to actually do it.

If it was an immediate family member (if it wasn't, it probably wouldn't fall on me to decide) I would want to hold onto the hope that he or she would recover, no matter how improbable it was and pathetic it made me.

So, to answer your question, I'm not so sure I'd have the heart.
