The following is from WWE.com:

At Survivor Series, WWE fans will see a reunion, an extreme first and an inter-brand showdown all in the same match when a team co-captained by D-Generation X meets a team co-captained by Edge & Randy Orton in a 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match.

The two teams of co-captains have been at each other’s throats for weeks, with Edge & Orton trying to end DX’s reign of terror on RAW. They were successful at Cyber Sunday thanks to special referee Eric Bischoff, but Shawn Michaels & Triple H responded by costing them the World Tag Team Championship the next night on RAW. Now, at Survivor Series, the two teams will add three partners and do battle in a Classic Survivor Series Match.

Both quintets will be made up of Superstars from all three brands. Along with HBK and The Game, Team DX will be made up of RAW’s Jeff Hardy, SmackDown’s Matt Hardy and ECW Extremist CM Punk; meanwhile, Edge & Orton’s squad will be rounded out by Intercontinental Champion Johnny Nitro, Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms and ECW’s Mike Knox.

Matt vs Helms
DX vs Edge & Orton
Jeff vs Nitro
CM Punk vs Mike Knox

Conveniently blended together, just because the next PPV is called Survivor Series. Much like the Smackdown match in 2004.

I hope they at least give us one surprise, like Randy not being the sole survivor.

My Survivor Series prediction? At least one of the matches will end in a screw job.

I like the way they knit these feuds together into one match. Makes it seem bigger.

That's how the old Survivor Series used to work - making up teams of individual wrestlers who are feuding!

I always liked it when there was more than one feud going on, like this one, with Matt Hardy and Edge on opposing sides!

I wonder what the chances are of Edge eliminating Matt Hardy?

Spirit Squad vs Flair, Piper, Rhodes & Slaughter with Arn Anderson in their corner!

I think its a minority match.

They should have made that a surivior series match!

What a wasted opportunity!

I think the Spirit Squad are atheletic enough to get a good match out of those old timers!

According to WWE.com, it is gonna be a Survivor Series match.

Personally, I hope the legends win. I like each of them more than half the WWE roster put together.

On Monday, sources close to WWE Hall of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper contacted WWE.com with a further update on his condition. Doctors have discovered and removed a mass in Piper’s spine, which was causing discomfort in the legend’s back. At this time, Piper and his family are awaiting results of a biopsy.

He will be replaced at Survivor series by another, as yet, unrevealed legend.

It might be Bam Bam Bigelow, since he's apparently a legend now.

I know, plus he's the only wrestler I know of who's rushed into a burning building to save some kids. I guess I just associate "WWE Legend" with old fogeys who REALLY shouldn't be in a ring anymore (Slaughter, Piper, I'm looking at you).

I think WWE Legend is anyone who drew some money and their body is too wore down to work regular anymore.

Last I saw, Bam Bam seemed in pretty decent shape for a guy his size and age. Hillbilly Jim is another Legend who seems to be taking care of himself, as well.

Personal life

In July 2000, it was said that Bigelow alledgedly received second degree burns over 40% of his body (and was hospitalized for two weeks as a result) while rescuing children from a forest fire. This proved to be false by Bigelow in an interview, as it was a kayfabe story to allow Bigelow to take time off from WCW.

Upon his retirement, Bigelow moved to Allenhurst, Pennsylvania and opened the eponymous Bam Bam Bigelow restaurant, located in nearby Hamlin Township along State Route 590, which later closed down. He then relocated to Florida, with even his close friend Shane Douglas unaware of his whereabouts.

On October 2, 2005, Bigelow was hospitalised with a broken nose and several lacerations after crashing his Harley-Davidson motorcycle in Spring Hill, Florida. His passenger at the time, Janis Remiesiewicz (Bigelow's girlfriend), suffered severe injuries and was declared to be in "critical" condition. Larry Coggins, a spokesman for the Florida Highway Patrol, stated that Bigelow would be the focus of a homicide investigation should Remiesiewicz expire, and intimated that Bigelow would likely face charges based on "the factors...that led to this crash". Remiesiewicz eventually made a complete recovery, and is still in a relationship with Bigelow.

For much of his career, Bigelow was addicted to the drug Oxycodone.

On July 31, 2006, Bigelow was arrested in Brooksville, Florida for crashing his motorcycle, thereby injuring himself and his girlfriend.
