So when Peter Parker unmasked during Civil War,it was a big deal.Media coverage,fanboy debates and wondering what the fallout was gonna be.One More Day comes along and wipes that out......stupid.Then in New Avengers he unmasks for his teammates and now he does it again for the Fantastic Four.So how long before Aunt May finds out again or J.Jonah Jameson or Doc Ock? Where will the madness stop???!!

and that's a fuckin great move by marvel. and I really don't want bnd to end. I want that to be the status quo. the marriage is over, we've moved on, and honestly the writers never really could capture their marriage, and the single spidey stories have been much better than the last 20 years of married spiderman. Lets be honest: the stress of your spouse being a super hero, never knowing every day if they'd live or die, would wear on any person. And that's ignoring the obvious emotional negligence that would occur in this relationship.

One of the truly unique things about Spidey for years was that barely anyone knew who he was.
Yeah, there was some such as Black Cat, who he had a relationship with, and both Wolverine and Daredevil knew who he was due to their powers, but pretty much everyone else had no idea.
Even when he first joined the Avengers all those years ago, he never revealed his identity to the team.
Johnny Storm was sposed to be one of his best friends, but even he was ignorant of who Spidey really was.
These days it seems he just doesnt care anymore, and neither does Marvel.

Don't worry, if my theory is correct, the fact that rex thinks BND is gonna end soon should mean it's gonna be the status quo for a long time. And I'm glad. Regarding the identity problem: well, uh, that was exactly the conflict that's presented in the Fantastic Four team-up issues. Spidey says NO ONE can know his identity (this takes place before the Avengers issue), and Johnny is pissed because in some level he's aware that at some point he knew who Spidey was, and now he doesn't. So in the end, after a lot of debating back and forth (while saving the Macroverse), Spidey takes off his mask and all their memories of Peter Parker come rushing back.

I cannot say how much I loved this weeks Spiderman. This is the kind of story telling this book has needed for years! After spidey tries (and fails) to make truce with mayor jameson, he decides to spend the next couple days doing nothing but spiderman stuff just to piss him off, giving jameson a kitten he saved as a gift! and that last page... where pete walks in on aunt may and jameson sr. having sex!  Good stuff!
