AICN: David Fincher Friends Aaron Sorkin-Scripted Facebook Movie - according to a trade publication, David Fincher is reportedly "circling" Columbia Pictures' Facebook movie, THE SOCIAL NETWORK. Aaron Sorkin's screenplay for the film evidently charts the growth of the social networking site from its inception in 2004 (by then Harvard sophomore Mark Zuckerberg) to its temporary phenomenon status.
This really reads like a joke. The guys behind such films as "A Few Good Men" and "Se7en" are going to make a movie about a website? On the other hand, if this is a hit, maybe other big name directors will start making movies based on web sites and Rob can get John Waters to direct a film about his blog.
