Almost said who are they, but I figured that my botching proper grammar would be nothing compared to how badly--I believe--TNA is going to botch this angle. I'm not morbidly curious enough to buy the PPV, mind you. But, I was interested in knowing if anyone else has that same morbid curiosity thing going about this.
Abyss has been running around TNA for months now talking about how "They are coming" to "change TNA forever." Supposedly, we are going to find out who they are tomorrow. It is really just more TNA shit. However, TNA is banking on this shit to "take them to the next level." Barring a miracle, I am supposing that tomorrow TNA will learn that the size of a shit doesn't change the fact that shit is shit.

Pay for PPV? Cant even remember the time I did that. Thats what online streaming is for. That said, all these months I have been watching PPVs online, I still havent watched a TNA one.
I watched impact last Thursday. Flair and Foley were by far the highlight of the show. I thought there match was great, but that's sorta the problem with TNA. There should by now be someone younger than Flair and Foley putting on holy shit matches.
Btw I'm guessing Bischoff is part of "They". He handed Dixie papers to fire Abyss and she didn't read them and just signed them. I'm guessing on the PPV they reveal she signed away the company. Which if that's the case is such an insult to intelligence of the fans. It wasn't notarized and on camera it's shown that it was signed under deception. Oh well. Flair and Foley tore it up.

The signing documents without reading them thing was stupid. If they go that route, which they probably will, then they deserve to be ran out of business. Bischoff is most definitely one of They and that points to the whole failure of this angle. Barring Shane McMahon, Batista and/or Michaels revealing themselves as being brought in by Bischoff as They tonight, there is no one name or group that TNA could bring in to generate a real buzz. It will just be, yet another, TNA let down. And, if it is revealed that They have been there all along, then it is going to teeter closely to generating Finger Poke of Doom buzz. But, the worst I've heard is that They are the Carters coming to take TNA away from their little girl (Bob and Janice are Dixie's parents). Who the fuck would want to see some second rate McMahon family feud. Especially, when one considers that Stephanie has more acting ability in her fake funbags than Dixie has period.

heh, nah, I admit to being mildly curious, but I know whatever it is, it's bound to be a letdown. the show has improved some, but as said, most of the focus is still on the older guys when it should be on pushing the younger guys.
total lack of any sense by the TNA writing team. Jeff Hardy is the biggest babyface in the company. When Hogan turned with the nWo he was waning in popularity, he was getting booed, it made sense. Hardy is the biggest shot at gaining crossover fans. Plus it's a rehash. Stupid.
I think TNA just killed itself tonight. This was their WrestleMania: NWO version 803, Samoa Joe made to look like an idiot, Kendrick being the only young guy to get over in the Lethal Lockdown match and only because he was a part of EV40+ years old, Sting and Nash have been talking about deception for all these months because they would rather Hogan and Bischoff reveal themselves as bad guys as opposed to running them out of town as anyone who loved their company would do...dear god, this is fucking pathetic. I knew TNA would blow this, but I don't think even I was prepared for how truly shitty this would turn out. Fuck you, TNA! Fuck you!
If he thinks they have "hit the ground running" and "grown" in 2010, will he think they are the biggest company ever next year, when their viewship drops to double figures?
he must have known the finish to the PPV sucked. the reporter was asking if he was happy the crowd was angry and he starts defending the angle. i think the guy was wondering if the crowd was angry at them for turning heel, not angry at the angle.
He was incredibly defensive at points, telling the guy to get his facts straight because he didnt say he was there from the start, even though a few mins before that the guy even said that Jarrett created the company. He also go defensive when the guy mentioned that he hadnt been on tv much in the last few years, and how will it be to be back at the top.
To me, anything positive he said about Hogan and Bischoff seemed to be done through gritted teeth somewhat, and I bet he hates being in a faction with them. Its just another slap in the face to him to show him that he is no longer running things, and he is having to go along with it otherwise he will be buried or future endeavoured.
Defensive at points is an understatement, IMO. He looked defensive/pensive from the time the interview began. Poor Jeff, it must suck to see your baby being flushed down a toilet. But, he ought to look on the bright side. He still gets to go home and bang Karen every night.
If memory serves me correctly, Dixie has been involved from the start as well, but used to be a silent partner. It was only when she got daddy to agree to put money in from Panda that she stepped up to the frontlines. That was pretty much the point that things nosedived for TNA.
I bet Jeff was happy as fuck to get that kind of cash injection, but little did he realise it would spell the end of him as a power player, and the end of TNA as a genuine contender. Fuck, even his dad fucked off and took a talent he discovered, to WWE, thats how much faith he had in Dixie.

We open up impact with Hulk Hogan's theme song and Hogan's pyro. Eric Bischoff and Hogan (still on crutches) come out and there is a mixture of cheers and boos in the building. There are some loud "Hogan sucks" chant as Biscoff introduces Hogan. Hogan says, "Enough of the crap" and that it's time to take what is their's. Fans chant "Please retire." Hogan says that Dixie Carter lied to him and sold him a false bill of good when it came to TNA, so now "Hollywood" Hogan is taking over TNA. Bischoff introduces the first member of Team Hogan, Abyss. Abyss hugs them and screams, "They're here!" Hogan calls Abyss his son. Bischoff them introduces Jeff Jarrett, who said that at first, he didn't see eye to eye with them but then realized they are on the same page. Bischoff cut a promo on Dixie, saying Dixie took Jeff's company from him, but Fourtune's music played and out came Ric Flair and Fourtune.
Flair said that Fortune runs TNA, not anyone else. Flair says that tonight, either he or Hogan have to leave TNA forever and they face off, then hug. Bischoff asked if anyone thought that 25 years ago, Flair and Hogan would be on the same team ever. Bischoff then introduced TNA champion Jeff Hardy, who comes out. Everyone in the ring claps for Hardy while the crowd is split. There is a loud "You sold out" chant. Hardy said he didn't sell out, he sold in. Hardy said that he doesn't care about his fans and reveals he was the one who was behind the Abyss attack on Rob Van Dam.
They cut to Sting and Kevin Nash watching backstage. Bischoff asks them to come to the ring and let bygones be bygones. Nash and Sting come out. Bischoff asks them to join the crew but Kevin says, "Thanks but no thanks." He cut a promo saying he is sticking with the TNA family and is "passing on the money this time." Sting says that he loves TNA and history won't be repeating itself, and turns them down as well. Bischoff says the offer stands when they change their mind.
*Madison Rayne cuts a promo and says that Tara beat her at Bound for Glory and that wasn't supposed to happen. Tara comes out and Rayne tells her that she is the only reason that Tara is back in TNA and Tara needs to do the right thing. Tara lays down and lets Rayne pin her. Madison begins celebrating but Mickie James comes out and says that she came to TNA to make history, so why not let it be tonight. Madison shoved Tara into her and ran off.
*Kurt Angle came out to no music to make a statement. There's a big "please don't go" chant from the crowd. Angle says he re-injured his ribs and his neck last night but before he announces his retirement, he wants answers. Out comes Jeff Jarrett, who tells him that Angle said he would retire if he didn't win the title. Angle says that he was the one who out TNA on the map, that his loss at the PPV was the final nail in TNA's coffin and Jarrett can have his ex-wife, but Angle is getting a piece of Jeff. Angle throws the mic down and goes for Jarrett but the two security guards take Angle down and handcuff him. Jarrett begins beating down. Taz finally takes of his headset and comes down, telling Jarrett to back off. Jarrett finally does and we don't have any official announcement of Angle retiring. Good segment.

TNA hired Dixie's PR firm TNA leveraged all there money on weekly PPV's based on numners some consultant they hired gave them It turned out the consultant was a fraud and they almost wnet belly up but Dixie got her Dads company to step in, he made her CEO and Jarrett's Dad was kicked to the curb.
I think that the X Division started to take a back seat when Dixie started making herself known. I'll give Jarrett his due, but it seems to me that it was during the days that he and his dad were calling the shots, that the X Division was seen by most as the high light of most TNA shows. The heavyweight and tag divisions were good (well all except the fact JJ wore the belt through nearly all of his time in charge), but even guys like Styles were saying that the X Division was the place to be, even after he won the NWA title.
