Mine...? Right now..? Gotta be the last issue of Powers. The last 5 pages make it all worthwhile. But, wait til next week...the new ish of SiP comes out.
It's quite a good reas, let down by a confusing or is it just a bad ending! After reading the finale, I deemed it not worthy and looked deeper into it, only I didn't find anything.
Yes, we have had this discussion before ROY, but lets share with the others, the gay editors of Superman felt a need to give Bats a dig in that only superman could "deal" with all of the emotional trauma the Bat-Man had during Emperor Joker in a way to show the fan boys that Supes is the best! Which is so assinine! Bats has held up under pressure much better than Supes in the past but suddenly Supes can handle it better just to prove SUpes is the best. Bleech! It is worth checking out Basti and you can judge its net worth.
On your advice, ROY I brought a buncha Spidey comics to help catch me up but alas I was given actual work to do....hmmm we'll see which gets done first......

agreed.
the balance between the two characters is that superman is by far the physical superior, while batman is by far the internal (mental, psychological, etc) superior.
somehow, this was removed from continuity, in favor of batman being a weenie, and superman being infinitely stronger.
true, batman's suffering was horrid, and perhaps even too much for him to take... but, when passed over, superman seemed to handle it in stride, as if it didnt even itch.
i would have accepted this ending only if batman then flew away, faster than a speeding bullet.
Thanks to you wonderful folks I felt compelled to catch up on some titles, and boy what a ride it was with Spidey, but what a joy to reach JMS's stuff, as I said to both Roy & rufie it reminds of his work on Ghostbusters, I had a hard time getting into Babylon5 but I did enjoy his characterizations. Which he continues in the Spideyverse! Jenkins aint too bad either.
Now you all havent touched on Morrison's X-men yet so I will. I think the common thought is its similarities to perhaps the Authority, however I would say it is much more similar to conflicts addressed in the Wild Cards novels. If you have not read them you have to if you are even slightly interested in Sci fi and/or comics its a must! Edited by George Martin, with a host of well known writers, its been so long since Ive read them I forget who exactly. But I like the limited team of Xmen! ANd the inclusion of Emma Frost. I love the Beast's current metamorphisis! And is Magneto truly dead? I doubt it....I loved the off screen reference to it though. My next conquest will be Daredevil although I have to find the issues and those of you from the con know the chore that will be!
favorites right now. DC 7 Soldiers, especially (but not limited to) Frankenstein Villains United & Day of Vengeance (looking forward to the new books coming out of these series) that's really about it, from DC proper.
at Wildstorm there's Planetary (soon to be done. "soon." heh) upcoming Morrison on Wildcats and Authority
Marvel Daredevil Punisher Ultimates 2 Ult. Galactus trilogy looking forward to Moon Knight, Spider-Woman, and Ghost Rider
others The Goon Hellboy &BPRD Godland Battle Hymn Sinbuck
