As suggested by the mighty Gob, we need to come up with a byline for our new home. So let's hear some ideas.

Legion Clubhouse or Super Hero Clubhouse

From 1957 to NOW, Legion Fandom has discussed, complained, created, and inspired the wonders of the 30th Century. Here's your chance to join in on the fun!

Or

Due to their unique, offbeat, and downright quirky nature, fans of DC's 30th Century universe have been quarantined heeyah!

Or I suppose we could always borrow a page from Lash's book and use "Welcome to the Legion Forum. Pull out your collection and post your tits off" [biiiig grin]

{From 1957 to NOW, Legion Fandom has discussed, complained, created, and inspired the wonders of the 30th Century. Here's your chance to join in on the fun!}

Nightcrawler's first suggestion is quite compact and accurate, including alluding to the uniqueness of the fans having resuscitated and then created (starting with Shooter) these stories. I doubt we'll do better than that.

A mention of the LMBP would be too insular and "in-joke"ish, I fear. As much fun as that enterprise has been, some on the outside (in the DCMB Legion boards, old and new) have wondered what it is, in tones that suggest the feelings of those looking in on mayhem they don't understand, and being a bit put out.

I like Nightcrawler's version, too, though 1958 would be more accurate.

Oh, we were discussing, complaining, creating, and inspiring even before the first Legion story was published! We're Legion fans, after all!

It's rather plain, but I like Legion HQ.

I also like Nighcrawler's byline, but how about "30th and 31st centuries"?

I also like Nightcrawler's "From 1957 to NOW, Legion Fandom has discussed, complained, created, and inspired the wonders of the 30th Century. Here's your chance to join in on the fun!" And I agree with TD's change of 30th to 30th and 31st centuries.

What about

"we like the legion...a lot! Do you?"

Supertalk

I like nightcrawlers idea, so why dont we just say
"Danger! Keep away this board is Quarrentined"

but if we want a succinct and accurate description then Nightcrawlers has a good one.

Here's another vote for Nightcrawler's first suggestion and TD's modification thereof.

Though I wouldn't mind seeing a reference to tits being posted off either. [wink]

Can we at least reference MY tits in the byline? Y'know, "POST or Lash's TITS fall off!" Maybe not, eh?

How about... WELCOME TO THE UPSIDE-DOWN ROCKET CLUBOUSE (with thanks to T-Dave!)

Welcome to the Pocket board. You know the one the DC editors send you to when you are done with their boards. [gulp!]

Oh I give up.

How about "Welcome to Rob's Damn Legion Board: Come here and be liked" ?

So I really didn't give up. [um.... uh huh! ... ]

I'll also go for Nightcrawler's first suggestion, but how about getting round having to mention the 30th AND 31st centuries by substituting the phrase 'inspired the wonders ten centuries from today'?

LoL.." A Helmut Cosmic Boy once wore. "

I saw that very First LSH story from Superboy #147 reprinted when I was a kid... I recall I thought the Helmut made Cos look like he shoulda been called, " Gumball machine Head Boy! "

Seriously, Nightcrawler's suggestion for the LSH boards here is cool with me.

A bump ... and when does this get implemented? (Nightcrawler's temporally modified consensus favorite, I hope.)

And where? On Rob's main forum page, instead of "gotten the hell outta the comics forum, to keep everyone sane"? Somewhere else?

I sent a request to Rob this morning to change the byline on the main forum to:

It's an arduous process, fraught with peril. Many don't survive. But you'll get there. I have a hunch. And my hunches are never wrong.

Unless we're talking about sporting events. Or the stock market. Or comics. Or...

Think we can convince Rob to add "except Legion...scroll down for that" (or something to that effect) to the Comic Books forum byline so some unsuspecting new person looking for us doesn't post there and get flamed all the way to Abilene?
