I hate the new DC Legion boards as much as the next clown, but there's a thread about a rumor about Dave landing a LEGION gig which Dave responds to with a teasing claim of ignorance and a winking smilie!!!!!!
Can it be!??!

They did that Lame-assed 'Legends of the Legion" mini series a few years ago. I would like to see them do a true "Legends" miniseries and let guys like Cockrum, Lightle, Levitz and Giffen do one shots of characters they want to write/draw.

For those who don't know, Dave Cockrum has already created a cover (and provided an interview and other pieces of his art) for the upcoming book from TwoMorrows Publishing, "Legion Companion," scheduled for mid-September release.

Apparently this latest rumor is about ... somethin' ELSE!

God it'd be great if Cockrum finally got a Legion gig...first Lightle's back, then (maybe) Dave, and then maybe we could hope for a special Levitz/Giffen fill in!

"...That'll take us to issue 25 and the 45th anniversary of the Legion which bring some more big surprises and guest creators, but I'm saving them." Legion Editor Stephen Wacker said in an interview to Jen Contino at THE PULSE.

And how do I know he's referring to at least Dave? Well, let's just say that Dark Bamf has pending restraining orders against me and leave it at that.

P.S. Let's keep this info on the 'down low' please. (i.e. don't post what I've said at the WBMB's) You never know if those wacky PTB might pull the rug out from under us just for spite.

They want to keep this as a surprise.

Also I'd like to say how happy I am to have found this board. Its like the new and improved "old" board with all of the regulars. I'll be sticking around for awhile.
