Actually I've never posted here before so hi y'all. Nice to meet you.
As to the actual point to this post, a major rule of the silver age was that a super gorilla had to turn up in every DC at least once every year however to my knowledge the Legion NEVER came face to face with any super gorilla of any sort whatsoever. Why did the legion have to be exempt from this great silver age tradition? Discuss.
Wondered why there was no one here from Australia ... so here you are!
There's no super-gorilla in Legion stories because the Legion has suffered enough with the hideous Koko - who has hopefully been sent to the great banana tree in the comics sky, along with the pestilential Lori Morning.
Superboy (as Clark Kent) confronted a runaway gorilla in a carnival in SUPERBOY # 198, a Legion story. This was a bit late for the Silver Age, but maybe it satisfied the Legion's quota.
Let's retcon him/her/it into....say, the ACTION run as a major LSH ape-villain to be brought back later in....say, the new QUAKE KID ongoing series....
"Hey, there, big fella. Sorry the Legion's been giving you such a hard time. I'm sure they just don't understand you. Why don't we take a ride down to the park in my retro-jetter and we'll talk about what's bothering you?"
