Hello fellow Legion posters. I thought I'd take this opportunity to share my news that my wife and I have recently adopted a little girl from China who we have named Olivia, aka Lights Up My Life Lass. She's a darling. Makes me hope The Legion will have an Asian member by the time she's old enough to read The Legion.

Cool! I'm so happy that everything worked out for you -- I know some folks who were planning to finalize an adoption last month, but have had to change their plans because of the recent SARS epidemic over there. They're still hopeful, though...

Hey congratulations, that's a good thing you've done!

Maybe one of these days Lights Up My Life Lass and Princess matlock will be here to show us old fogeys a few new tricks.

It is heart-wrenching for those families on hold. We had a 50-50 chance of being in that group. There was so much pressure from so many people for us to postpone the trip. Good thing we didn't. It's really unfortunate how the media has distorted the reality of everyday life in China. When we were there, we did not feel threatened by SARS, only by people's reactions to it. My prayers go out to those who are waiting for their little girls.

That was very sweet! Is it from a specific future issue?
