I will probably go the DragonCon as I am in Columbia, SC. And, well, you are right. It is time that I popped Pulloutski's Convention cherry. Next year it is then. I hope you don't plan to meet up with Pro. He's too good for us. Why Pro show no love?

Dragon*Con is our platform for getting together for a drunken debauchery of a weekend. Thus, if I only have so many days with these guys, I'm not going to waste time trying to get to know/meet people I post online with, just because they happen to be there. I would expect the exact same from others, because it makes sense...

Dragon*Con is our platform for getting together for a drunken debauchery of a weekend. Thus, if I only have so many days with these guys, I'm not going to waste time trying to get to know/meet people I post online with, just because they happen to be there. I would expect the exact same from others, because it makes sense... If Lord Gob himself skipped into DrunkenCon would you have met him?

still not back yet so i wont have pics for a few days but story wise one of the coolest (nerdiest) moments was just hanging out having a conversation with Jeremy Bulloch about movies and stuff. Oh and i ran into Adam West (aka the Bat-man) in the restroom which im sure is one of robs fantasies

Knut! I got your message. But, honestly, I use Drunken*Con to meet-up with three of my college buddies, and we stay drunk all weekend. I don't normally try and meet with anyone from Rob's Board (or otherwise). No offense!

One of the guys I went with got his autograph, and I briefly shook his hand outside that restaurant in the Marquis (Pulse, I think it's called). Anyway, he said that Brooks seemed to be real out of it, possibly on meds or something. Said his hand was shaky, and it took two tries to sign his autograph. Weird.

It was a good con, but it's having overcrowding problems more and more often. Not just the Big Events (the costume contests, guest-star get-togethers, etc.), but even everyday panels--like most of the Doctor Who and Torchwood panels--were massively overloaded and had to turn people away.

That has to do with their shitty organization. The con organizers see Star Trek and Star Wars as their big go-getters and put Doctor Who at the bottom. They plan and book rooms according to that idea.

It was a good con, but it's having overcrowding problems more and more often. Not just the Big Events (the costume contests, guest-star get-togethers, etc.), but even everyday panels--like most of the Doctor Who and Torchwood panels--were massively overloaded and had to turn people away.
That's the way it was when I went back in 2005. The Serenity and Star Wars panels were packed to the point where browncoats and Stormtroopers were getting turned away in droves.
