I cant remember all the details, but I believe he liked the concept.
Simple fact is, whether it was a good idea or not, its only a fucking comic book, and is not worth having a total and utter brain meltdown over.
It would be like bsams going postal after someone said they didnt like the Big Lebowski, or you losing your mind over someone not liking Kevin Costner movies.
