Ok, so the new DVD has a new copy protection on it that my software cant bypass. So, I do a lil internet search and browse various nerd tech forums, all of which say, it cant be done. Some have said you can clone it, but with the protection cloned on the copy as well, but then they say they cant do it. Then someone says the only thing you can do is rip the movie from the disc, but not menus etc, then say they couldnt.
So I had a fuck about with my software to no avail. Then I downloaded a new software package that runs in the background. I then reopened my normal copy software, and copied as normal.
This method not only made a perfect copy, it also did what my copy software always does, and got rid of the copy protection and region coding on the copy.
Of course, I only do this for back up purposes, nothing illegal!
So there ya go, a new method of copy protection comes out today, and its already hacked by a novice like me!
