The soundtrack for Tenacious D's Pick of Destiny. I know they're trying to sell themselves as a mock band, but they rock harder than most serious bands out there right now.
While their lyrics are humorous, they are certainly a proper rock band, like you say! I saw them live last year, and they were fucking awesome!
