I haven't really been disappointed with any of the dvds so far. Superman/ Doomsday gets better with repeated viewings, and New Frontier and Wonder Woman were solid from the get-go. I'm not sure about the next project after this (Superman/ Batman: Public Enemies), but I'll reserve judgment.

Yeah, Wonder Woman was great. Good voice acting; Keri Russell was surprisingly good, and Nathan Fillion was excellent. Also, Cheetah at the end! That segment looked amazing! Now they need to do a sequel....

So, there was actual violence and coolness in the WW dvd?
Steve Trevor (Nathan Fillion) tells Hippolyta, while under control of the lasso Of Truth, that her daughter has a "nice rack."

So, got my copy of GL today. Pretty good. Chris Meloni does a good job as Hal, and there are some pretty cool action sequences. Not quite as much violence as previous DC DVDs, though there's one scene that's fairly gruesome.

See, I dled this to check it out, and was insulted at how bad it was. I mean, Hal just becomes GL in ten seconds, and is like "Cool a ring that can do anything. My voice is only moderately surprised."

they spend too much time on the origin!

What I mean is, its a cartoon, aimed at kids, critiquing it is kinda redundant.
Kids 13 years and older.

Are you going to do this everytime someone has a personal complaint about a media project, or just me?
Whether they thought it would be okay to skip the origin or not has nothing to do with what I find wrong with this waste of time. If they wanted to skip the origin, then skip it and get straight to the story. Instead, it was like the origin (told outside the credits, btw) sped-up to shorthand.
"Hey Carol, it's 1:00pm and I'm a rogue test pilot."
"Hey Hal, I can't stand your manly ways, but I secretly love you."
"Oh look a big green beam has dragged me to where an alien crashed a ship. He has given me a ring that will do whatever I want. Awesome. Think I'll go back and see Carol and we'll laugh-off this whole thing."
"Oh look, other GREEN LANTERNS are here to make me go train. Luckily I'm so awesome I'm able to knock a few of the veterans down before they subdue me. Luckily I've had no training whatsoever. Oh look, it's 1:02pm..."
The voice for Hal was lame. Not in a "he doesn't sound green-enough" lame. Just "I can't believe someone pays this guy for voice-acting" lame.
I could give a shit if they did the comic. I could care less if he had suddenly been the Chartreuse Lantern of Venus! What I do care about is quality for what is paid for. Luckily, I only downloaded this. I feel sorry for those who paid money for it. I feel even more sorry for those that think this was worth said money...
I can't help it if Transformers 2 and Green Lantern suck balls, Jonah Hex looks like standard Hollywood filler, and they possibly miscast Thor...
don't forget your thoughts on the flash film not yet written, your critiques on what warner should have done with the watchmen, the jeph loeb episodes of lost, the not-yet-out robin hood movie, anything smallville related, and of course shadow-less pngs.

Yes, I've already mentioned how Geoff Johns will ruin said movie.

I actually think you are misreading me here. I loved the Watchmen movie. I just think they could make more money, and the franchise could be better served, if they made a cable miniseries out of it. It was just an idea, not a critique or complaint

the jeph loeb episodes of lost,
I dare anyone to defend any of Jeph Loeb's work, save SUPERMAN FOR ALL SEASONS. He's the anti-Christ and you know it!

the not-yet-out robin hood movie,
I bet Marian will probably wield a bo-staff or shortsword, and the fight scenes will include some kind of martial arts...

anything smallville related,
Hey, Season One had potential. Then, Jeph Loeb signed on-board...

Well, Johns first run on the Flash, up until the Wally memory reboot, was pretty solid. Of course, it helped that Scott Kolins (I think that was his name) did the art.

First half's kinda lame. Hal is sort of standing there shooting monosyllables while others talk and fly around and shoot magic beams from their rings. Then it kind of picks up. I actually thought the second half was pretty cool.
Overall, I still think Johns handled this stuff a lot better in his "Secret Origin" storyline. I wouldn't have minded if they had based the movie on that.
The voice acting was mostly ok... except for Michael Madsen, who was apparently sitting on a sofa sipping on a beer and watching a game while reading Kilowog's lines.

You make that sound like a bad thing!
That's how I play the part of ROY BATTY on the RKMBs!
I always envisioned ROY more as the Jack T. Chance Green Lantern....
What, dead?
You're an asshole, Snarf. That was totally uncalled for.
