With the rare exception of a few one-time uses (the original Ordway graphic novel, the Jeff Smith mini-series, Kingdom Come and, surprising, DKSA) hey haven't been relevant in comics for over fifty years.
They're a children's comic book. They'll always be a children's comic book. You might as well try and update "Uncle Scrooge" or "Little Lulu."
