I like how Ebersol blames Conan for the low ratings. It's not like Jay was able to continue the ratings bonanza of Carson as soon as he took over. Jay also didn't have a prime time show shedding viewers from the network before he went on either. Leno pulled this same shit when Carson left and cut Letterman out of the line of succession. I'm sure he could just of easily said 'no' to the move to 11:30 and retired instead of bumping Conan.
