Played a couple of different CDs this weekend.

The first was "the Story of the Clash."

Then, I happened across a copy of Steve Forbert's "Jackrabbit Slim," and grabbed that, since I long since lost my cassette copy.

Then, to annoy my fourteen-year-old in front of her friends, I played "Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson: Storytellers" for a while in the car.

Last night, I listened to the master, Zevon, and his eeriely prophetic "Life'll Kill Ya" album.

Today, I didn't play anything at length, but I did play a couple of tunes I have on the computer: the new Liz Phair song, a duet between Bob Dylan and Ralph Stanley and a couple of Jack black's movie songs ("School of Rock" and "let's it get it on").

Pretty eclectic weekend.
