What's your problem with that company? Not enough Japanese pedophilia movies for you?

If a major studio ever released a Japanese pedophilia movie with even the barest whiff of horror or sci-fi, Asylum would rip it off and you'd declare its brilliance. SyFy movies shit on Asylum's output. Of course, you probably love those turdburgers, too, ya mook!

Seriously, though, as I said before, I've begun to realize that these films, SyFy's and Asylum's, are the same as the old Drive-in B movies of years gone by. They're not meant to be art but just cheap, quick to produce, commercial films. Some are better than others. I find that Asylum's tend to be less exploitation and more just base fun.

I get it. It's a live action anime. Not bad, really. I think they paced the movie well by using the flashbacks to keep the film from overdoing the 'on the run from the mob' bit as most films of this kind do. A little too CGI dependent, though. The most interesting fight scene was in the chick's apartment with her flashlight as the only illumination and the two ninja's disappearing and reappearing. Could have done more with that. I also like how the ninja's are given supernatural powers and actually meld into the shadows instead of hide in them.

I have watched both of those recently (and Marked for death).

I dont care what anyone says about Seagal, his early films were good dumb fun.

My brother loves all of his movies, even the recent straight to DVD ones, but I have tended to avoid them because I dont want them to tarnish the early ones.
As I said before, they are dumb fun, but they have a certain charm that could be tainted.
Its the same with pretty much all those straight to DVD guys like Ludgren, Snipes & Van Damme etc.

I think the most recent Seagal movies I have seen were Exit Wounds (which I liked) and the one with Kurt Russell, where he dies in the opening scene (Executive decision?).

Ditto.

I always loved the line at the end "I missed? I never miss. They must be smaller than I thought."

Lebrock was great when she showed her muff in The Woman In Red.
I really dont remember anything else from that film.

Netflix streamed That Mitchell and Webb Look because of NWM's posts here. Overall, I liked it. Some of the stuff was kinda meh, but that was few and far between. Numberwang got annoying until the German version, then it got boring again. My favorite skits were the Adventures of Sir Digby Chicken Ceaser and the Snooker announcers. Going to see if there are anymore available for Instant View.

As annoying as Numberwang was, I do think I'm going to start randomly exclaiming, "That's Numberwang!" in conversations to people.

In the third series (I think it was), they stop with the normal numberwang sketches, and replace them with things like the history of numberwang and The Numberwang Code, a parody of the Da Vinci Code.

Numberwang is a great thing to randomly shout.

I found bits and pieces funny (like the rotating of the board bit). The overall sketch was just kinda useless. It wasn't until they did the German version that I found it really funny. I guess that's just because I find anything done for English speaking audiences totally in another language to be funny for some reason.

The main joke in Numberwang is the pay off, with how the woman always loses.
The only time she won, the prize was that she was killed, so in essence she still lost.

I found that funny, just not most of the rest of the sketches. It was like a lot of funny jokes and gags wrapped up in an unfunny concept.

HAH!

We had to wait all the way to the end to see it!

I remember watching that film with my Mum when I was 10! Next day at school, half the kids had watched it with their Mothers!

What's really funny was when it was first shown on UK TV, films were usally heavilly edited - nudity, swearing, scenes just for the fun of it*, Silly cunts must have missed this full frontal!

They probably thought there would be no nudity in a Gene Wilder vehicle! Wilder being in 2 of my all time favourite films, Willy Wonka & The World's Greatest Lover! I remember buying the worlds greatest lover in the US, the girl who sold it to me, wanted to make sure if I wanted to get this film because it was so old.....

*I hated a lot of films because I first saw them on TV, whilst I knew they were edited, I didn't realise how much/badly! The Man who fell to Earth is one such film!

another fuck up was when they showed Avanti on ITV at about 5pm, and left the Juliette Mills nudity in it.

Thanks to cable I watched Porky's 2 with my little brother when I was like 10, and it aired at 6 PM. Also Life of Brian, even though it was supposed to be banned in my country at the time.

What made her even saucier is that we all remember her from the Railway children.
