The new Johnny Cash box set is incredible. Five CDs of Rick Rubin-produced stuff. Too good to describe.

...I thought Gob's Secret society was the MMMMS... THE Merry Man-Meat Munching Society.

As for the song... okay, I'll give ya that.

But if I ever catch ya listening to Reed's Machines album... I may have to kill ya.

To my knowledge I own everything the Velvet Underground ever released, and "Walk on the Wild Side" isn't there. The earliest version I have is the "hit" version from the Lou Reed album "Transformer."

Hm.

My mistake, then. I've seen it credited to both.

Anyway... right now: Elvis Costello's first album, My Aim is True... on vinyl, of course.

Static-X's current one, Shadow Zone-

Not as hard hitting as their earlier stuff, like Wisconsin Death Trip, but enjoyable nonetheless.

How good is that? I've been thinking about buying it but I wasn't sure if it was any good.

Oh, pretty good. A few stand out songs, but as I said before, I'd recommend their earlier stuff. Seems like they have a good track record of doing one-shot songs for film soundtracks, as well...like "Crash" from the Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker soundtrack, the combo they did with the lead singer of Fear Factory for The Crow: Salvation soundtrack, "Burning Inside", or "Cold", the track they did that appears on soundtrack for Queen of the Damned (which, by the way, has a cool, I Am Legand/Last Man on Earth/Omega Man inspired video)

Buffy the Vampire Slayer- Once More With Feeling

I love that album! The best musical episode of a TV series EVER!! (Not like it has much competition. Xena? Feh!)

True, but I wouldn't consider that a musical episode since there was only one song.

Hobart Paving by Saint Etienne

After Midnight:

Leafhound (also by Saint Etienne, as it was the next track on the album.)

September Gurls - The Bangles

Quite possibly one of the best Bangles songs ever! Michael Steele doing a cover of Big Star's finest moment.

All I want - Susanna Hoffs

As you can see, i'm in the mood for cover versions at the moment. This is Susanna Hoffs of the Bangles doing a Lighting Seeds cover. Different but equally good as the original.

You were on my Mind - Susanna Hoffs

Another cover version by the Bangles lead singer. Great cover. EVEN BETTER than the original.

Rocket Man/Tiny Dancer - Elton John

After watching Apollo 13 and Almost Famous the other night. I was really in the mood to hear these 2 songs.
