too esoteric. this is a bit of a quandary because a lot of us stay for the things that we can't find anywhere else (including the running gags), but those are probably the same things that turn off most of the newbies.
Also, there's really nothing here that would make people stay. I guess if the news posts are more consistent/had something to offer instead of just cut and pasted links.
I remember when Rob went crazy with the recruitment drive, and even offered rewards to people who can provide regular content. Did that work?
