There always have been-and will be-remakes and I can't get too upset about them. I generally just ignore them and figure they'll succeed or fail on their own merits, even if I may occasionally wonder (here or privately) what they were thinking.

That being said, it seems a little weird to remake a hit movie made by two people who were right at the top of their game (Verhoeven and Arnold) with a "B" list director and a star who has never been able to generate hit movie on his own during a fifteen year career.
