They used it to make it look like a jumbo jet crashed into the Pentagon.

I honestly don't know why I bother posting anything but trolling. I could have timed how predictable the "jokes" are. Try and look past your butthurt feelings over past failures and focus on the point I was trying to make. None of you are surprised about that level of tech? To maintain such a substantial holographic projection for that long? THAT'S fucking impressive.

Wow, Pro, you can fuck with other people; but no one can fuck with you? It was a joke, man. I thought you would have understood that. We both know that you didn't think holograms were used on the Pentagon attacks.
It was the Twin Towers.

Jeezus, you're a bunch of fucking children...
It's actually not that new. Japan has had this tech for years.
Using it to project holographic soiled panties over their cities.

I remember that press conference. They brought out the holographic Bill Clinton to sign the bill into law with Obama.

"Oh, wow! It's just like Clinton was there to help execute the power of the Office of the President just like he never left after the 90's."

HEY!!! This thread has NOTHING to do with Jem and her amazing back-up band!!!
FUCK YOU PRO!!!
(Was that predictable? And is your wife available yet? )

Another reason why this really isn't that big of a surprise to anyone who's been awake for the past decade is that it was already done on national TV six years ago.

I didn't see any dead people reanimated using nearly perfect holo-tech in this video. I only saw cartoons. I'm sure that wasn't your point, though...

It's extremely difficult for me to realize that technology can advance in six years time...

If I really wanted to be an ass, I would have pointed out to you that it really isn't a hologram.

Seriously, the ability to make lifelike 3D animation has been around since Lord of the Rings. The optical illusion they used to display it is about 400 years old.

And yet, it's not been used as efficiently and flawlessly until now. Stop trying to passive-aggressive your way out of this. You're still butthurt over the 9/11 thread, so anytime you can get a jab in, you take your shot. We all get that. No one is surprised. Like I said before, I expected as much from this place.
Meanwhile, the technology is still fucking impressive. That was my point. But, you've made yours. You want more trolling and less normal threads. Gotcha.

Yes it has. It's that a bunch of people with Twitter feeds just saw it for the first time while they were on X. This is no different than a band you've been listening to for years finally getting some radio and TV airplay. Everyone thinks they've discovered something that's been around long beforehand.

Wow. Looks like I'm not the one whose feelings got hurt over the 9/11 thread. It was a jab, yes; but no different than the millions of jokes you've made implying that Grimm and I are gay for each other. It's just a joke (plus, you missed our anniversary). It's one that I made because you provided the opening with the military comment in your original post. The joke fit. That's all. Did you miss my other jokes at other posters?
Have you been trolling Wondy so long that you've turned into him? Are you going see every little joke as a personal attack against you? You've known me long enough to know that I don't take anything on the internet as personal. Nor do I expect you to.

I've seen it before. It's getting a big push in telecommunications as a new way to do important board-meeting like conference calls. Also, it's been used by magicians and amusement parks alike for decades. The software that made Tupac is really the only high-tech aspect of this. Again, Hollywood has been perfecting that since the late 80's. So, if you want to actually discuss something, discuss it. Don't get made when one liners are the only response to your one line post.

Again, for clarification, it's not a hologram. It's a projection onto a transparent surface on the stage. There is no 3-D construct on stage, just a 2-D image of a 3-D computer rendered character (like in a video game or movie) that is just given the appearance of 3-D through an optical illusion that's been in use for 400 years.
