JON HAMM Pursuing BATMAN Role - Report- Jon Hamm is actively pursuing the role of Batman, according to Radar Online. Hamm is purportedly jockeying to be the actor to replace his The Town co-star Ben Affleck should he no longer continue in that role.
“Jon’s gunning hard for the role," Radar's unnamed source said. "[Ben and Jon] enjoyed working together and have been on good terms ever since. But Jon knows Ben has faced some criticism over Batman v Superman and Justice League, and frankly thinks he’d be better suited for the job. This is business for Jon - not personal.”
The source goes on to describe Hamm as "desperate" for the Dark Knight gig, going so far as to be "carefully courting" The Batman director Matt Reeves for months.
“Matt thinks Jon is charming and was a big fan of Mad Men, so it seems like a great transition to him,” the source said
Hamm was great as the brooding Draper and he looks like a 70s Neal Adams drawing of Bruce Wayne. This could work.
