But it sounds from your topic title like you're cheering on the idea of killing Parler, a site that offers a much-needed alternative to Facebook, Twitter and Youtube, an alternative that doesn't completely shut down communication from the conservative side of the aisle. I think competition and other forums for dialogue and dissent is a good thing, even though up till now I haven't felt an urgency to join Parler.

But Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Google are monstrously powerful monopolies, that need to be taken down. And needless to say, they interfered in the 2016 and even more so 2020 elections. Even without their unholy alliance with the Democrat party, these monopolies were a huge threat. How much more so now?
