I liked Norm Macdonald playfully covering the news on Saturday Night Live's news segment. He apparently got fired from the show for offending someone with his jokes, showing 30 years ago you could get cancelled, before there was an officially named cancel-culture.

As I recall, he replaced Dennis Miller, and Miller's swaggering cocky style was one who took some time to grow on me before he departed, Mcdonald I liked immediately. Sorry Macdonald didn't go on to bigger and better, as so many do after being on Saturday Night Live. It looks like he was working steadily after SNL and continued to have some modest success for many years, just not moving to greater prominence. I was surprised looking at his listing how many movie and TV roles he performed in, as well as talk shows, comedy performances and other work.
