And, to be fair, one of my favorite friends there is blind and I take every opportunity available to make fun of that and we're still friends. That guy never fit there. He never got the spirit of the RKMBs. We're gonna keep an eye on the obits, see if he finally left or if he really did have a heart attack.

Got Nirvana playing through the PC at work. If I let it play out, it'll go through Bleach, From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah, and end with Nevermind. For some reason In Utero hasn't been ripped yet.

I was at Newbury Comics on Sunday and the girl who rang up my purchase told me about Pandora.I've created a rockabilly/psychobilly station and a Tom Wait station. Great website!

I frickin' love that website! I've been on it since its inception (Southie heard about it just before it hit the net from a law school buddy of hers who's friends with the founder, Tim) and have discovered so much music/bands - rockabilly/psychobilly/ punkabilly included -that I never would have found out about on my own - including Horton Heat; Go Betty Go; Red Elvises; Mad Sin; Coffin Nails; The Cramps: The Meteors; Supersuckers, etc., etc. Not to mention finding more groups/substyles in the genres that I already love - I can't recommend that site enough!

I gotta admit. I tried a test run with Warren Zevon and was a little disappointed. They picked a somewhat atypical Zevon song from his last album, an acoustic folk number, and ran with that, as opposed to his more classic "Excitable Boy" era stuff.

But its intriguing and I have to play around with it.

They don't always play the more well known songs of a group/person/band, which I kinda dig, bc you get taken out of the usual playlist for your favorite artists. If you just wanted certain particular songs played, you could always find them elsewhere, but sometimes Pandora just opens the parameters a bit more - and sometimes it works, sometimes it don't.

Stick with it. You'll thank me for it later.
