Don't know if you've seen the first season or not, which btw, it's out on DVD now, so go buy!, but that bathtub scene was a nod to the first ep. Don't mean to spoil anything, but when Syd comes back from a mission, she goes to Danny's place (her fiance's) to find him dead in the tub just like that.
