I wrote up the Tabel Royal last night and sent it to Joe for feedback, because I knew I forgot something, which he pointed out to me, so I added the thing in and sent it back and that's it. It was completed at eleven something EST last night, and that's only because I couldn't get online untill shortly before eleven. I was hoping to get some recap info from everyone by Saturday, but the only person who sent me anything was Nowhereman, and that was just about his entrance. That said, I used the polls to determine how well everyone did in the match, so if you don't like the result, it's your own faults for not sending me your ideas on time. But don't worry, nobody jobbed in this match. I made sure that everyone had at least one big move.

S'Okay, Charlie. Shit happens. This weekend is a great example of "everything that can go wrong...", and I'm just as guilty of that. The matches I don't get anything for will just be glossed over quickly, as I don't have time today to write anything too epic. Basic match description, finishing move, final blurb (if necessary).

That's how the voting often goes. It's like what Joe, PenWing, and I were discussing recently and what Doc just said. It's not just the forum posters who vote, it's most of the people on the boards. They don't actually read these threads and follow what we're doing, they just see the votes on the front page and pick someone. It's just a reality of the way it's set up. It happens. *shrugs* We just have to deal with it.

There are really only two options to get around that. 1. Eliminate voting completely and run it like a real wrestling company with wins and loses determined by the promoters. This is the way this started out, and it really didn't work. The voting brought more interest to the RDCW to the point of getting its own forum and the polls on the front page bringing people here.
2. Get more posters to offset the number of random votes in the polls. That means bringing in more people from across the internet. I know it's not easy. Grimm and I have found out how stubborn some internet geeks are (imagine that!). But it's really the only way to phase out posterless wrestlers from the rosters and generate more interest and participation from everyone else on the boards.

At the end of the day,Wednesday is a real person who is known by other posters,Tommy isnt!
The whole voting thing adds more interest to things anyway.
Look at the situation with Charlie,in our first match he won easily but since then I have had more votes than him.
Some of it might be down to people prefering a promo or something,the rest of it is down to exactly who votes that week.
For my money,any specially created ids are gonna always lose unless they are against another specially created id.
Familiarity is probably one of the best deciding factors in any of these votes!

Short answer: yeah. Long version: Hell Yeah!
No disrespect to Snarf, who I think's had a good run. But balanced against that is the fact that he's not around very much at the moment. Admittedly, I've no problem with his continuing to be a presence here (after all, Notwedge is a major player in the forum, and he only pops up once in a while). But, I'm not sure that he should be holding such a major title while he's sorta inactive.
Plus, the concept of a slightly bonkers superhero holding the major title in the RDCW is a hilariously bizarre one.

I don't honestly mind being beaten. For a start, that was my first match, and for another I envisioned URG as a big hefty man, quite likely to beat Tommy in a real life match.
I would agree that in order to eliminate posterless characters we need to get more guys in. In fact, I know a coupla guys that might be interested. I'll scout them out and see how they react.

That's actually a part of Snarf's gimmick, is him not being around a whole lot. Other posters who've won titles and vanished well. . .(I'm looking at you, TK-069 and Son of Mxy) that's a phenomenon I don't get at the moment.
Notwedge won a title and returned, which somewhat evens things up a bit.
No disrespect to Spamm, who should get a shot, he's done extremely well so far. But pre NWOOTC matches, I was seeing Snarf vs. James Fantastic continuing the feud that started in the Bastardo Family, or Snarf vs. Nowhereman, a long running RDCW feud that started at last year's Rumble. But these could also happen after NWOOTC and before RobbleMania.

Good showing for a first match. I lost my first match, which was against an alt-ID and a non-poster (I placed second). And lookit me now! 
As far as the non-posting wrestlers are concerned, I think that the "promoters" will phase out more of the non-poster types as we get more people involved. James, Charlie, and Tommy are great additions and Notwedges return was a pleasant surprise. I've been trying to recruit my brother and a couple buddies, with little luck. But that's the thing: if you get someone else involved, that just makes this thing stronger and more fun. And it's one less alt-ID or non-poster to contend with.
