"Kayfabe" is essentially wrestling-slang for "in character". For example, when Hogan talks about how he's gonna beat up Shawn Michaels, that's talking in kayfabe. Conversely, when the Rock talks about he and Steve Austin work together to put on a match and essentially confirms the notion that wrestling is predetermined, that's known as "breaking kayfabe".
