I, too, have been enjoying Shaun of the Dead. I finally finished watching the bonus stuff today.

Started Batman: The Animated Series, Vol. 1
Chappelle Show: Season 1
Rebecca: The Criterion Collection (bonus stuff...the movie was great)
Zombi 2: The Shriek Show edition, not Blue Underground's
Devil's Nightmare
My Little Eye (I'll watch this after I get through the others)

Last night, Mrs G-man and I watched the "Homer Alone" ep from "the Simpsons" on DVD.

Mrs G always claims to hate cartoons but whenever I get her to watch an ep of the Simpsons, King of the Hill or the Family Guy, she always ends up laughing her head off.

Bubba Ho-Tep...brilliant movie. Which reminds me: I need to watch it with Campbell's "King" commentary.

Anyway, I'm watching the Diff'rent Strokes first season this weekend. I also watched G.I. Joe the Movie but my disc was defective (the picture kept shaking slightly) so I have to return it.

Well, currently I'm working my way through the A-Team 1st season DVD set for the 3rd or 4th time. Last Night we (that's Mrs. Monkey myself and our exchange students) watched Cowboy Bebop. Tonight my wife is watching Ghost World as I type this. I regularly watch Barton Fink, The Man Who Wasn't There and Raising Arizona on a weekly rotating basis. (Big Lebouski is in the mail from Columbia House)

I'm catching up on my Netflix account. This week's movies are Where The Money Is, with Paul Newman and Linda Fiorentino; A Knight's Tale; and Simone. I keep shuffling my rental queue (and what's up with that? We're in America, dumbass!) around, but I want to get through the stuff I ordered six months ago.
I now own the first three seasons of Good Times. Love that show.

"Pixies - 2004-07-03 - Eurockéennes (PAL DVD)"

I'm currently watching that one. Man! I'd pay $20.00 for that concert! It's that good.

Recent buys have been The Star Wars Trilogy, Chinatown, Thelma and Louise, Later With Jools Holland Presents "Cool Britannia", Mayor of the Sunset Strip (recommended!) and some 70's spy stuff such as Three Days of the Condor, Parallax View,The Day of the Jackal, Capricorn One, the 'Airport' box set, From Here to Eternity, The Punisher, The Seige, Roswell, Justice League: Starcrossed and The History of Rock and Roll Box set.

So you can see why comics have been in steady decline for me. I definately get more 'bang for buck' not to mention a complete story from DVD.

So Christianne F is on DVD? I gotta get that one too!

I don't know if it's been released officially on DVD. The one I got seems to be from some Brazillian magazine. I see a lot of those cheap Brazillian DVDs here. No extras, but they do the trick.

It's very good. Funny and sometimes spooky and loyal to the story. Coscarelli (the director) has a ton of respect for Lansdale's work (the original story), and it shows. The ending was really nice.

Its weird but in a good way.
If you hear the story premise you might expect it to be a slapstick barrel of laughs, but its not,its a lot more subtle than that but is still very funny in places!

I just bought Fulci's The Beyond, Hitchcock's The Birds, and Aladdin. I started to watch The Beyond, but four hours of sleep won out and I ended up taking a nap before leaving to catch WS Game 2. I'll try again tonight. Tuesday sees the '04 re-imagining of Dawn of the Dead, so I'll use my Best Buy Bucks (thanks, McDonalds) towards grabbing that. I still have to sift through the super-duper special edition of ROMERO'S Dawn Of The Dead that I got for my birthday. Not to mention Tomie and a few other flicks.
